I Lost All My Money and Items?

replyed on the support ticket but still no response, and its been like 4 hours, also the phone waiting time is 64minutes...
To people who had this issue, how long did they take to restore your stuff? my ticket was responded to in 20 mins with the copy paste info from the devs, and i replied to restore my account, its been 2 hrs and no word. I guess when they have to do more than copy paste, it takes hours?

My reply. Interesting.

Stripped of gold last night. Do not rollback my character. Just submitting a ticket.

I don't really thinkg I got hacked. I think this is a security breach on your end. Regardless during the rolling restarts last night I noticed at some point after logging in after them my gold was reset to 0. I actually didn't think anything of it until I saw a huge thread you guys are ignoring related to the same issue. And on a much larger scale. To assume that we all got hacked at the exact same time is pretty farfeteched, and to be frank the lack of blue posts on one ofthe #1 tehc support problems is infuriating.

Adding myself to the list of people the "vanishing inventory" has occurred to. No exploits or bugs or abuse here, just playing with the buds. Act II Nightmare, logged out this morning at 6AM after playing all night, logged in at 7PM (CST) and none of my stuff is there. Submitted a ticket. We'll see what happens.

Read the ticket again.

They're saying that, in your case, you were not compromised. That pretty much rules out a security breach on any end, since no one touched your account besides you. Which means that the gold was stripped due to something else. Could be a bug. Could be this chest-exploit-thing that people keep talking about. Could be that Jesus hates you.

The thing to focus on here is that your account was never out of your control, which means no security breach.

One major issue with this thread is that people seem to be posting problems from a variety of sources as if they're all the same thing, then neglecting to mention when their CS tickets tell them whether they were compromised or not.
I don't think this is a big conspiracy and so forth as the previous guy stated and I do believe him that they would update us as soon as something happened.

I was hacked - sure It makes perfect sense in my case up until the Support Ticket tells me no one used my account, nor did my friend during the time I got hacked see me online for a second!

I think thats the whole issue ,it seems accounts weren't logged into the traditional way to perform this heist and they used some other means. Seems automated to me in some way especially at the speed and amount of people that got taken in a relatively short amount of time.

At some point in this thread I also noted that my friend saw me login twice when my account was compromised.

When things like this happen it's usually due to the game client not knowing what the heck to do. Something occurred that it might not have been programmed to do properly. It's almost like a glitch in the matrix in laymen's terms.

The client was never designed to have concurrent logins. When it happened, it wasn't told to remove one of them, it just appended it to the list. This COULD HAVE been due to a third party tool doing something to fake a legit connection.
Same thing happened to me, i am lucky i got in before they got to my demon hunter. all my gold is gone.

Except their system shows any and all login attempts and other activity on your account. If they spot something out of the ordinary (and yes, they can spot IP spoofing), they'd flag it as a compromise.
"Hello, and thank you for contacting the Blizzard Support department!

I'm sorry that I was unable to speak to you today, but after looking into your issue, it appears your Battlenet account was compromised and your D3 account has been accessed by an unauthorized party."

That's what my CS ticket said about what happened. That's all I know.
Same here , lost all my items , gold , level 26 monk and just finished act 2

guess hackers are in full force already, got hacked between 2-9 this am. logged out 2am, logged in at 9 to everything but 3 items, gone, stashed emptied out. submitted ticket at 10 am, got this response by 10:30am.

Greetings,This is Game Master Koethise. I've had a chance to look into the compromise to your Diablo 3 account and it is eligible to be restored. However compromise restorations for Diablo 3 accounts differ greatly from restorations made to a World of Warcraft account. Diablo 3 account restorations are based on automatically saved restoration points. While these restoration points are updated regularly, you may lose progress on your heros if a restoration is perfomed using one of the restoration points. Each Diablo 3 account is limited to 2 compromise restorations. After the second one we will still assist with restoring access to the account but will be unable to assist with restoring items, gold, or heros. After the first compromise occurs on a Battle.net account, the Real Money Auction House will be restricted until an authenticator is attached. If a second compromise happens the access to the Real Money Auction House will be revoked permanently. Full details of how the Diablo 3 compromise restorations work can be found at the link below: http://us.battle.net/support/en/article/compromised-diablo-iii-accountIf you would still like to have a compromise restoration performed on your Diablo 3 account please reply to this ticket and let us know. Thank you. If everything is squared away you can select Message Read to close out this ticket or Need More Help if there is still something that needs to be addressed. I hope you continue to enjoy your experience in World of Warcraft!Regards,Game Master KoethiseBlizzard Entertainmentwww.blizzard.com/support

It might be B but you have to understand a few things.

1. My e-mail account associated to bnet is not used for anything else.
2. My password was (I changed it) something that I never use anywhere.
3. I didn't share my account with anyone.
4. The only person who knows my secret question answer is a blizz rep who asked for it on the phone when I needed to confirm if an order was placed.
5. Over a decade on the computer, and I have never been "hacked" in any game.
6. My Paypal and other money related services are untouched.
7. No one has access to my physical computer except me.
8. None of my items were touched.
9. I only have 2 HC chars (37 and 35) on my account and both of them are alive still.

What kind of "hacker" kindly only takes my gold but not my items and then doesn't slay my HC chars?

You were playing offline for hours! and hours! for that 1 million gold?
