Losing stacks of valor

when i'm kiting mobs i shift left and right-click to attack then run again, often when i shift right-click i remove a skill from my skill bar and lose all my stacks of valor, and then get stomped by the mob because of losing a skill or two, maybe add a lock skills button so that doesn't happen?
