memory leak from scrolling minimap overlay

After pressing tab to open up the minimap overlay display and scrolling it around for a while all across the Act I area, the game sometimes becomes unplayably slow while the overlay is up. Trying to move my character reduces the frame rate to ~3/sec. Once this happens I have to restart the game in order to correct it.
