I garuntee my character is decked out & ready and im very smart & experienced. Mind showing a screenshot of your characters details? If you are an experienced player, you would know one of the keys to surviving in Diablo II was capping out your resistances through items. The barbs who do make it through act II and beyond (and yes, they can and do) did exactly that (stack hp and resistances with block gear as well). Granted they also used a shield, but in the current state of this game there are some configurations that don't work. And the game would be tagged as "too easy" if they did. I'll take broken and difficult over broken and easy every time.

We are paying to playtest for them : )

Yeah - Quit turning this thread into "Your not geared enough, you sucked at wow, etc" Quit hijacking - Point blank, Inferno needs tuning. Inferno WILL get tuning.
So all you self proclaimed, "Im better than you" (because we all know you are, clearly) Can just read the facts & enjoy being hardcore, like I do - But quit argueing wether or not there is a problem with Inferno. Blizzard is aware of it finally. Its just sad we had to be the testers for it.

Armor Rating? Resistances?... High health pools don't mean jack if you don't have the damage mitigation to back it up... |

This seems like it would have been fairly easy to test. Just give your testers the best items they could possibly ever attain, you know, the stuff that us players will have to farm years to ever get. Then make sure those "hardcore" players can beat inferno with those items without too much difficulty. There should be a point we can get to where we feel our characters are powerful enough to beat any difficulty. The adjustment should be on how hard it is to get the items needed to make your character that powerful.

Love how many people post that they're 60. Thank you. If you're not at 60 you're not in Inferno.
And then everyone talks about their HP. That's it? That's all you have? +vit and +%life? I know why you can't survive. How about a few more stats, yes? |

"I think the main problem we’re running into is people progress more or less linearly to Inferno, and the brick wall effect makes it seem like these broken skills were the correct way to overcome the difficulty because the belief is that Inferno must be an immediately surmountable challenge, which it isn't intended to be" - Jay Wilson
That's the other half of the post you selectively quoted. Your entire argument is based on the fact that they did not internally test the release version of Inferno, which you loosely managed to conclude by playing semantics with a developers sentence. ..... (Tip: You have no argument) |

Who cares. You can get kills, but you are going to die a lot. Deal with it. It's inferno, it's meant to be extreme. You are going to die.

I hate to break it to you, but the barb I immediately thought of who consistently streams his act III farming (NL_kripp btw) not only has over 75% damage reduction from armor but also about 40% block and over 600 to all resistances. Those resistances INCLUDE PHYSICAL DAMAGE. You're missing a huge chunk of a very important stat and don't even know it. Telling him "the one thing I totally forgot about isn't the problem" is your response? |

Then eventually, after enough people had their epeen stroking fill, it came down to where the rest of us mere mortals could beat it. Normal, Nightmare and Hell modes are still available to you. Since its not about "epeen stroking". Not sure why you want to play the hardest difficulty. |

[quote][quote] There's this stat called "Physical Resistance"... look it up bro. And yes, an extra 20% effective reduction (Which would require a very large jump in your extremely low resistances) would literally quadruple the number of hits you could take. And you could push your Armor Rating and Resistances a lot further! |

This is really disheartening to listen to. Inferno is incredibly difficult, but it should be that way. All of my friends including myself have been having a blast, with a few frustrations mixed in along the way.
We've moved into act 2 with witch doctors, barbarians, and wizards. It isn't like one class can't perform and the other can. Act 2 is hard, yes, but we are determined to farm the gear to progress through it. We will be in act 3 soon and move on from there. Why do we as gamers feel we are entitled to be able to beat Inferno mode only a week after the game has released? You couldn't walk into hell mode on diablo 2 and down bosses without a friend or a lot of farmed gear. I honestly feel like inferno act 1 has grown easier, and act 2 is just a gear check. If Inferno becomes easy enough that we can all beat it within the next coming week... whats the point? Again, why does everyone have to beat this purposely hard mode without farming up the gear necessary? Wizard -36k HP -19K DPS -48% armor mitigation ~45% all mitigations -1000 hp regen/sec I fully intend to increase all of those stats dramatically as I work into act 3. |
