Bizarre Computer Restart Error

So far this has happened three times now. Every time the servers go down, my computer does not log me out like it normally should, it actually restarts my entire computer... Has anyone else seen this error occur?
My system is Win 7 Pro, i5 2550k, ASUS Z68 mobo, 8GB DDR3 RAM, Radeon HD6950, 3x WD Blue 750GB HDD in RAID 0. Diablo 3 is the first time I have ever seen such a thing occur. Checked and video / audio drivers are the latest versions.
