Also I want to say thank you for being patient as we work to improve latency for Aus/NZ players.

What of the US regions? Or will they get the scraps of everything, release and now fixes for the game since it is unplayable with the pings.

forced to use the US servers is ludicrous... its half way around the world for gods sake

when its good it is 250 and stable

but when its 400ms on every action.... it makes games bad
Ive had to put up with the ping in wow and now d3
Its pure torture....

Region in Aus/NZ: Adelaide, SA
ISP Name: EscapeNet
Connection Type: Naked ADSL2+ (using Optus infrastructure)
Latency Range in game: 500-2000
Average Latency: 500ms at least - usually orange and red, never green on the ingame ping bar.

The best ping I see is during business hours local time. From 5:30pm the ping rapidly increases to unplayable at around 6:30pm. Ping drops down around 11ish at night and gets better the later it gets.

I think its quite possibly an Australian international congestion issue.

It's about 280-350 in WoW for comparison.

It depends on the time of day. During our mornings and early afternoons when it is US peak time, my ping sits between 400-600. When it is our late afternoon/evenings when it is US off peak time, it settles down to 200-250.

I'm getting a bit of action delay even when I have "good" ping, ie. press button for move, move happens 1-2 seconds later. No animation lock or anything, from standing.
