Tbh the latency is easily playable until you come across a mob with projectiles...then you really start to notice the lag. Mortar mobs are impossible to not get hit by.

Frustration of dying again and again because of latency has made what should have been an awesome gaming experience feel average. The game is beautiful but unless this is fixed I don’t see myself playing it for long as gameplay is frustrating. In other games when I am forced to play through these sorts of issues I don’t and I don’t buy games from that company in future. Blizzard your reputation is suffering, for just a few bucks.

I have a theory that the latency depends on the time of day. It seems to be best at 7.00pm my time (GMT +8) then gradually gets worse untill around 9.30-10.00pm when it gets over 600ms and becomes unplayable.
I'd like to test this theory out some more but it's difficult given the very limited access we get to the servers.

The majority of the time I'm playing the latency is fine but i get spikes a couple of times a night for about 2-5 minutes at a time where its completely unplayable up around 1500-1900ms, massive rubber banding and I just have to portal back to town and wait till it goes down usally to around 400-500 for another couple of minutes (playable, but hard to get out of the way of things like desecrator, plague and arcane enchant) then it will settle back down too around 180-250 and I continue on my way.

Some of the time I am logged into world of warcraft at the same time and the ping never moves from around 180 during the massive spikes in d3.

Usually playing between 7:30pm and 10:00pm EST. I have periods of 1600+ latency at times. I usually get dropped from the game with that kind of latency, then reconnect. It is stable on reconnecting for perhaps 1 - 2mins, then back up to 1600 again. Only one instance of this so far, but went on for about 20 mins.

Most of the time it hovers around the 350 - 400 mark, in the yellow, sometimes 600.
