I've noticed on my monk that if, during Serenity (specifically I was running the peaceful repose rune) you absorb damage that would otherwise have been fatal Near Death Experience will proc. It leaves you at 30% HP/Spirit and putting itself on CD as though it had saved your life. I managed to reproduce this a couple of times inside and outside of multiplayer
