I'm buying my husband a new desktop for D3 because his laptop has an integrated graphics card and cannot play D3, which is horrible because he has been looking forward to D3 for a decade.
I found this on Craigslist for $450, and I think if I buy a different graphics card it would be perfect for D3:
Any advice is greatly appreciated
--Intel Core i5-2500 Sandy Bridge 3.3GHz (3.7GHz Turbo Boost) LGA 1155 95W Quad-Core Desktop Processor Intel HD Graphics 2000 (non-k)
--1Tb (1024gb) Seagate Barracuda 7200.12 7200rpm hard drive.
--Windows 7 Professional 64 Bit SP1 Oem w/Product Key and Recovery Media.
--4gb ddr3 1333Mhz Crucial Ballistix (2x2gb).
--ASRock H61M/U3S3 LGA 1155 Intel H61 HDMI SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 Micro ATX Intel Motherboard (has pci-x16, pci, and pci-x1).
--Rosewill FBM-01 Dual Fans MicroATX Mini Tower Computer Case (120mm intake fan, 80mm exhaust with room for 120mm side fan as needed).
--SAMSUNG 22X DVD Burner 22X DVD+R 8X DVD+RW 8X DVD+R DL 22X DVD-R 6X DVD-RW 16X DVD-ROM 48X CD-R 24X CD-RW 48X CD-ROM SATA
--COOLER MASTER Elite 460 RS-460-PSAR-J3 460W ATX12V V2.31 Power Supply. Again, this has 38A total 12v power and 1 pci-x 6-pin power cable to power a huge discrete graphics card.
Wow, your husband is so lucky. :(
Seller is lying by the way, about the power supply.
Due to 1 pci-e power plug, you can only get a budget graphics card. That CoolerMaster Elite power supply isn't all that great either, which even more restricts what you can get.
Does this PC come with an OS?
Does anyone you know know how to build computers? You can build a budget - $700 computer than can run D3 on ultra pretty easily. (of course it's not worth the trouble if you don't know someone whose experienced)
P.S. if you do buy that, scoop up a GTX 550 for like 129.99, you can run d3 on ultra with that computer and a GTX 550 GPU. Installing a Graphics Card is alot easier than you think. I can help you if you do need help with a new graphics card.
^Also it comes with Windows 7 Professional OS as stated above.
Just another heads up, I just built this computer NEW on newegg.com for $641.94, and while $450 is a good deal, you have to remember you have no Warranty and Refund if that computer malfunctions.
Anyways, reply here if you want my help ;)
