"Will my PC run D3?" READ THIS Before Posting

OP really shouldn't compare the 6870 and 7850... the latter is a much more powerful card.

Yeah, but I didn't make this guide to actually indicate individual card's power, but more of about what these cards stand in terms of "power they offer". You can note I compensate for this somewhat in the generation description, where I note there is a noticeable gap in performance between 6000 and 7000 series.

While 6870 and 7850 is noticeably different in terms of power offered, it doesn't change the fact that these "8" series are positioned as a mid-level high-end offerings.

Would a Celeron 3.06 ghz with radeon 5550 run it in inferno?

Your Celeron is outdated. I wager it'll struggle.

I'd strongly recommend that you look elsewhere. Both are pretty poor. D:

AMD A-Series are not optimal for desktop gaming. CPU-wise, they lag very far behind current Intel CPUs.

Stick to intel CPUs then or will amd fx suffice? The 6770 or the 7770?

Stick to the Intel CPUs. The 7770 is better than the 6770, but costs a lot more.

Last factor. I 3/5/7. Clearly 7 but will 3 work well or stick to 5?

i5 at most, but i3 can do for budget
Avoid slim-case PCs

No, because it's slim-case, which severely restricts what you can upgrade for graphics card/ power supply
