Awesome thread Daith, learned a few things and they're helping me greatly so far!
I have one question, and that is: is using a 2 hander in Inferno even viable? I usually like to go "against the grain" with my build and skills for games like this, but from what I can tell, the shield is by far the best and only way to survive. Would love to hear your thoughts! |

I'm confused. The builds you linked show multiples. As an example, the build you said took you through every difficulty with ease shows me you had 2 might abilities and 2 defensive abilities...how is that even possible?

I am running everything you are saying and i have more than these stats in act 2 and i simply cannot kill rares/elites |

Daith,
I just wanted to thank you very much for making this great guide. I found this gem when I started act 1 of nightmare, and have used it ever since. I just cleared hell last night, and am getting ready for the inferno. I feel like it has kept the game challenging, but still very enjoyable and manageable. Thanks again, keep the info coming! |

Options. Gameplay. Elective mode. Now go to your skills. Notice at the top you can now change the type of skill by choosing left or right arrow.

I have act 1 in farming mode, meaning i can stack valor x5 without dying. Not even once.
But getting pawn at starting of act2. 34k health 18k dps 450 all res 7k armor |

Great work, thanks.

Wow. Made some changes based on this guide, and just, so much better. Changed one piece of gear, first of many, and some skills. Increased my stats by a ton, and my survivability. Im now easily handling Act II Inferno elites.
I'm pretty excited to get my crit chance up enough to use overpower effectively, but for now revenge is working perfectly. Great guide, must read for anyone maining a barb.

I removed the hammer for leap. I had charge before but - correct me if I'm wrong - I wasn't able to charge through the walls, hence I got leap |

This I am getting my face punched in by a group of simple Fallen, I wanted to ask:
Which of the stats mentioned for the varying acts is unbuffed and which isn't? Do you need 18k DPS and 9k armor buffed or unbuffed? |
|

Anyone have an opinion on Ruthless vs Relentless? With ruthless I'll have 14 crit chance but the extra survivability is pretty neat as well

I have been looking for something like this after finishing hell, because I got my !@# kicked with 2-hand AoE build in inferno. Tested this guide, it proved very effective(at least in act I) even with no superior gear, thanks for advices. Survavibility is very good and damage output with 500-600 dps 1h weapon is far enough to farm golds and gear without dying on every second elite pack in act I. Once again, thanks, keep it up...
Requested sticky, this is very usefull info...

I have to say, when I was with a group and my damage really was minimal (~8.5k at the time), I was running with Relentless and I have to admit it was amazing. Even if you are very squishy (and this was in act 2), once you hit that 20% mark you just take so much to die. Once I was able to survive for a very long time as my leap buff mitigate and revenge procs would outheal anything I took with that 50% reduced damage. I would love to have that in my spec every time if I could, but I just love the regen from Inspiring Presence too much to swap back. |

great guide. Still having problem with act II tho as far as the elite packs go.

This is actually the thread and information that made me rework my barbarian from scratch, and my current reference any time a doubt about it did come up.
Thanks for the effort put on this, Daith. This should be sticky since the very first day you posted it. Requesting as well. |

i dont have time to read through 9 pages of posts.. but for the part on life regeneration, life on hit and life steal.
as a barb, life steal def not for us, unless your purely damage build with very insane damage, and it will also require alot of percentage to be actually make this stats really good. If your using Frenzy as your fury generation ability, then life on hit would be the best choice due to attack speed. life regeneration is good on when you use cleave or bash as your fury regeneration, basictly slow attacks, unless you have alot of attack speed. recap: attack speed faster than 1s(perfer use with frenzy) get life on hit, as much as you can. attack speed slower than 1s get life regeneration. |

Just wanted to say great guide like everyone else!
I had forgotten about it for a while and was looking for a guide for about 20 minutes before I looked up at my book marks... Soo I figured i'd post in order to bump this up! Off to play more Diablo! I can already taste their fear... |

Just had to stop by again and comment that this is by far a very positive and HELPFUL guide that I wish the rest of the D3 community could cherish as much as I do.
Thank you so much for typing this up and props to you for your advanced communication and killing monster capabilities! |
