Wow, I knew that magicals and rares were going to be better, but that picture really puts it in to perspective. That is honestly kind of ridiculous. What's the point of having "legendaries" if they suck so bad? If they roll such low stats, they should at least have a chance to roll incredibly high as well, so as to make them better than rares and magicals.

Is stupidity going around? That legendary smashes what you're using. Do a little math before you post bloody tears. Don't just compare green and red numbers. There is more bonus through build with that upgrade than what you're currently using.

You could argue that the stun chance is worth it. Still silly that a blue with a lower level req is almost as good as a unique.

... He is using the legendary, if he picked up a blue, he would have over 1k+ more life and 300+ more DPS.... that legendary got totally trashed sadly. (ps, 2% to stun doesnt make it worth it).

I am curious as to what a "perfect roll" would look like on those lengendary gloves....

the issue is that it has 2 random magical properties and a range of fixed properties ... so in theory the roll on these could be higher then that pair of magical gloves.
the roll on that pair of magical gloves could have been on the high end of the spectrum... where as the roll on those legendaries was on the low end.... luck of the draw ?

Dont forget that not enough of the legendary items have been found with "perfect rolls" yet. Once some of the higher end legendaries (as far as stats roll wise) circulate they may surprise us.

A very high roll on a blue has a good chance of being better then a low roll on a legendary. Which is actually a good thing. However .....
Blizzard may have to play around with balancing in the sense that legendaries have a X % better chance of rolling on the higher end of the spectrum then blues

I misspoke but you know what I meant. Its worth using for the base armor, the armor bonus and most especially for the crit bonus. 1100 hp means squat on inferno, so does 300 dos. His Prot mitigation will go higher then what is shown because the armor bonus isn't calculated un the comparison. That character looks like a monk which means he should have % dmg-to-hp somewhere in his build. Along with decent crit which means that stronger hits will return more hp. If his monk crits 1\10 hits he could easily return 2200hp+ just with that items crit dmg bonus. And monks have primaries that land 2.5-4 hits per second.

there is nothing wrong with legendaries. They offer more stats, some of which are unique to legendary items only. Is it random? Yes. This isn't wow. Boohoo and eff you if it wasn't your dream drop.
