What gets me is the fact that there were complaints about FPS for the beta client. Blizz's response? "It's the beta client, it wont be perfect, wait for live" D3 goes live, same problems -.-

What was the beta for?
got through Act III with a 330M with almost no issues after a long hard problem with Act II. But now midway through Act IV it's randomly slowing down to 6fps again for no reason. Half the time almost nothing is going on onscreen. Then of course it's stuck at that until I reboot the Mac. So, I lose my progress because I can't play the game like that.

You don't nessesarily know it's from same cause. They were aware of a performance issue in beta 14, but they addressed that, doesn't mean something else didn't crop up before release. Low fps can be caused by any number of situations and it doesn't mean they didn't address the issues in beta.

What matters is when it shipped live, they immediately started collecting statisics, then after collecting enough data, released info as soon as they had it stating they believe they have current issue fixed and an update forthcoming. :)
+1

I have installed boot camp to play diablo. I hope you will pay my windows copy, even I don't mean all the disgusting work I had to do it!
I handled playing with low fps until i finished hell. Then i tried inferno where basically almost anything 1 shots you so...

Just to add, it ran fine on windows mode original setting when i just bought it on the 15th for a day or two, then i lowered everything to low and then after to 1024x768 full screen. after another few days it lagged again so i changed it to 800x600 and it was always laggy ever since. btw, everytime i changed it is because it became annoying and unplayable.

Also, My fps took a HUGE DROP at mobs (obviously) and when i destroy alot of BARRRELS and especially the walls that come down after shooting them.
Maybe when D2 came out Mac's weren't as popular but now they utterly dominate the laptop market. Ridiculous that I can't get above 12 FPS. Probably will ask for a refund if this doesn't clear up in the next few days.
