Attempted to purchase a 20,000 gold item in the auction house, the request timed out, the item was NOT purchased or delivered to my character, but the gold was still deducted from my character.

I have a problem from the same genre. I bought an item for 800k, got an error, then I tried to buy it again, I won the auction (buyout). The item never appeared in the Completed tab. Its been 30 minutes now -.-

I have the same problem as Fluke, I tried to buy out a 80,000 gold item and request timed out. I didn't get the item, still lost the gold.

Same here. Lost a 500k item... Does anyone know if I'll be getting the gold back or if it's just gone forever?

me too, just lost 280,000....

Go to the auction house, then click on 'Completed' to see the auctions you lost.

Click on the auction in question, on the left hand side it will show the gold you bid, below that is a 'send to stash' button.

Click that, and the money will return to your character.

It's the same with items you put up for auction which don't sell, or auctions you bid on and won.

To get the items back you do the same as the above.

No !@#$ sherlock. And you think we don't know how an auction house works?? If we're posting here, it's because we know what we're doing.

yes i agree with Hei. this same thing happened to me. there's clearly some issue with the auction house. blizzard should shut down the auction house until they fix it and reimburse people for the gold lost. these kinds of issues are causing me to lose faith in the auction house for fear that it may happen again...and again...until i'm broke.

I sold an item for 175k and my money never showed up...so my 148750 gold never came to me, yet it shows that it sold in my ah history....happened during AH lag

Same thing has happened to me when buying resources. Did a buyout twice now, each time it got a "request timed out error" and it deducted my money. The transactions were eventually listed under the Auction Log, but the items haven't shown up in the completed tab and it hasn't refunded my money.

EDIT: Over an hour after i clicked "buyout" the items have finally arrived.

I'm having the same problem, except with selling. I'm getting a timed out error when I go to put something up for auction. But yet the item appears in my selling list, and when someone buys it, I am not recieving the gold for it. Therefore losing my item and the gold...

apparently since the update last night the auction house is down the crapper. i cant buy or sell anything i keep getting error 31071 but i cant find that error anywhere its making me mad cause i have a pretty good ring im trying to sell. Plz fix this blizzard

happened to me as well with 30k item no item and usually when failled auction u get ur gold back, but no gold here as well
(actually it may have happened 2 time now...first time was unsure if it was me or the game)

EDIT: apparently my item arrived after a while...still was like hours...sigh...

i lost 800k....T_T

Just happened to me too... I'll wait an hour and check to see if I get the item or my money back before I yell at customer support.

No gold or Item.

been about an hour for me.

No gold or item showing up in completed items. :(

yea me too i spent about 30k and the items nor the gold came back

still these timed out and errors when you try to buy stuff just piss me off
