Fix for the patch looping

There is no "C:\ProgramData\Battle.net\Agent\agent.db"

The only agent.db I can find is in my Diablo III folder. But the post says not to edit that.

Can someone help me out please?

I was trying step one... for some reason every time I change the DB file it reverted back to previous version.

Then read about CTRL ALT DEL and end the agent process. It seems you needs to close the agent process first or it rewrites the file straight away.

So close agent process first then change the DB file.

after i did this, it says
ERROR : The file "D;\DiabloIII\uPDATE\D3-0-9858-WIN-FINAL.mpq"Appears to be corrupt

Plan 2 worked for me, thanks for posting
I could log onto EU servers but not US servers where all my toons are. After applying Plan 2 I can now log onto US servers.

Plan 1 worked for latest patch 1.02a version 1.02.9858....

I'm in Australia and my profile is enSG...after the DB changes mentioned above it installed the update...before that I kept getting the loop....
