ive been plowing through the game with honestly not even any real near-death experiences using a Witch Doctor...
has a good amount of heals: (soul harvest, spirit walk, haunt) and the passive which makes you regen 1% life/sec is absolutely amazing. (my regen is over 400hp/sec)
awesome escape mechanisms with Spirit walk, the passive that makes it so a hit that should of killed you sends you into a spirit walk with 10% health instead, the one that scares everything away..
great AOE slow with the grasp move with the slow rune..
and still tons of awesome DPS skills both AOE and single target
((SIDE NOTE: WRITING THIS MADE ME REALIZE HOW LITTLE I PAY ATTENTION TO THE ACTUAL NAMES OF ABILITIES AND PASSIVES!!! lol))
Monk has gotten farthest at Act 2 belial.
Barbarian has gotten 2nd farthest with almost double the time played of the monk at i believe the beginning of act 2, but died farming in act 1 due to a alt tab.
That being said, i think it's more about the player than the class itself. Monks are much safer however with 2 abilities that grant temporary immunity to all damage. Personally I like wizards, there's no real reason you should ever take a hit unless it's from a teleport mob and even then...
im goblinf arming atm in act1 inferno using
diamond skin with more absorb rune
magic weapon with KB rune
energy armor prismatic
shockpulse orb rune
arcane orb dps rune and with a 630 dps 1 hander with 100 int I'm clearing up to adrias hut pretty fast inferno farming up.. hell was quite safe inferno.. FML
