Is there anyway to add a “companion bar” similar to the pet bar in WoW?
The companions always seem to be on aggressive and wind up running after mobs, and face pulling them. It would seem to me that there should be a way to put the companion on passive so he won’t attack anything, defensive so he will attack only if you are attacked, or aggressive.

Would like to know this too. Same goes for summoned "pets". In Inferno I try to pull strategically as suggested by a Blizzard post. However, my Mystic Ally and whatever Follower I have with me decide to charge and pull something I can't even see yet. I tried "Follow" emote but no one listened.
I don't think a companion bar is necessary if the emotes worked on Followers. If there was some kind of bar that displayed their spell cooldowns that would be great. The Templar does a pretty good job of healing me and not managing another set of spells is fine with me.
Other post's talked about Followers standing in deadly ground effects. A simple "Follow" might correct this.
Anyway, glad you asked this question and hope someone gives a definitive response.

Yes please. Im so sick of my damn companions pulling different packs of mobs im trying to run past. Or the worst is theres a treasure gnome near a pack and they blast it leaving me to run through 50 mobs trying to kill it just to end up dying and watching him port away.
Its a big list of stuff, but there was mention of the companion ai, and blizz wanting to improve it.
I have that problem with the summoned spirit that the Monk has. That spirit runs off in all directions and definitely draws big hordes towards me when I am fighting a huge number of mobs on the other end.
It is very annoying. She aggros the whole world and I am stuck with trying to fight them all.
Has any other Monk got the same problem?
