Waiting for 1.0.3 to start making a real guide, in the meantime here's a few tips :

- Stats priority : LoH, Crit chance, Attack Speed, Resist all, Armor, Vitality, Crit Damage, Strength.
Though you can stop getting more crit chance once you are getting enough Fury.

- To get started, use War Cry -> Battle Rage -> Leap (landing on something, or it won't generate fury) -> Sprint. Run around and spawn a few tornadoes, let your fury build up (should take a second vs packs). Use WotB if needed. Then you can start using WW.

- Bind a key to Move in the options, to avoid WW going off when you try to just move. Recommanded : spacebar.

- You should use Sprint again as soon as it's over, even if you are spinning (WW). Most of the fury come from it, you'll starve in a second if you stop spawning tornadoes. Make sure Battle Rage is always on too, or you'll stop gaining fury altogether.

- I'm using a Mace/Axe for the Crit Chance, but if you want to generate fury more easily (and do a bit less damage), use a Mighty Weapon. The +3fury/hit from Weapons Master work with Sprint, you'll get insane amount of fury.

- If you encounter hard hitting monsters or elites with good affixes, only stay in the middle when you have the Leap bonus (Iron Impact) on. Then kite for 5s with the tornadoes, and leap in again. The defense bonus is huge, you'll tank without problem.

- Regarding keeping Wrath of the Berserker up forever : The duration won't go up if you generate fury when already full. When you hit max fury, try spending as much as you can (recast Battle Rage, cast Sprint several times) if you can.

UPDATE 11 : Sprint's tornadoes only use the mainhand's damage and attack speed. Better focus on getting LoH, Strength, Crit Damage and/or Vitality on the offhand, which all actually boost the tornado (or you, in the case of vitality).
Getting a mainhand with an attack speed boost is a great plus for healing and fury generation.

UPDATE 10 : I recorded a full Act 3 run on my farming route (5 stacks -> Siege Breaker -> Cydea -> Azmodan)! About 45 mins.

EDIT : Forgot to mention I switched WW to the Hurricane rune! (4-5 tornadoes per Sprint instead of 2-3)

UPDATE 9 : Turns out having movement speed bonus on boots is important! Get some if you do this build.
With WotB off and 9% ms bonus on my boots, if I use Sprint while spinning (WW), I spawn 3 tornadoes. If I remove the boots, I only spawn 2!

Also, I did some test on a ~15 monsters groups, and according to the healing numbers pop-ups, I can heal at least (limited by my life, stop raising when I'm full) :
~22 000 HP/second just from the tornadoes, while kitting.
~48 000 HP/second when spinning in the middle of the pack with WW (and tornadoes)

Feels like using Sprint again just before it ends make the new tornadoes appear a bit sooner, not 100% sure though. Try to do that when you can.

Ignore Pain replaced by Leap with Iron Hide rune.
- It's available way more often (4s every 10 vs 7s every 30)
- Gives a faster escape mechanism when needed
- Fix the initial fury generation issue
- Defense boost is almost the same, with my current armor anyway (Incoming damage divided by 2.36 vs 3)
The build works even better and is easier, great change.

Basically, you can use Sprint (and every spell in the build btw) without stopping Whirlwind. The tornadoes from the Sprint rune generate enough fury to keep Whirlwind on as long as there's enemies, thanks to Battle Rage rune.

Each enemy is hit like 8 times per second so the Life per Hit stat heals like crazy.
The DPS is pretty good imo.
You can use Ignore Pain while spinning if your life gets too low, and keep Wrath of the Berserker up for as long as you are fighting, so no CC problem. Blood Funnel on Whirlwind helps too.

Taking on a Vortex+Waller+Vampirism+Teleporter and a Plagued+Jailer+Desecrator+Fire Chains double pack (at 0:40) without dying, so it's definitely way better than my previous build. xD
Butcher under 2 minutes too, seems nice with my poor weapon.

What's the stats on the weapons that you are using?
In the video it was just 680dps, +60% critical damage, nothing else.

I've upgraded to a 600dps, +199 Strength, +664 life on hit, +85% Critical Damage one since then.

I've tried the WW build multiple times in Act III. It's not going to happen, unless maybe you're in the best possible gear in the game (best rares/legendaries from Act IV).
WW while sprinting?
You get twice to 4 times more regen from life on hit thanks to the tornadoes, kinda big difference!
You can also kite while Ignore Pain is on CD, and heal while kiting thanks to the Tornado. You even have a good DPS while kitting.
And there's the fury generation too.

Also, the bigger problem is solo mobs, like bosses in particular. So if you're changing specs, you're just losing your stacks of NV.
Very creative.

How about using a mighty weapon? With weapon master, there should be more fury when fighting the butcher.
This build is similar to what I'm using to farm Act 2 currently (mostly the Dahlgur Oasis since it has good dungeons). I have tried it in Act 3 but can't stay ahead of the damage. My weapon only has about 400 life per hit on it though, and my resists are pretty low, so maybe I'll have better luck in Act 3 with some gear improvements.

Couple of differences in mine: I still have a primary attack for when I fight single targets. I use Bash (Onslaught) so I don't have to worry about losing Frenzy stacks between Whirlwinds or whatever. I generally run a circle around a single target than Bash it a few times until the tornadoes dissipate, then repeat. I also use Overpower (Revel), and my ~50% critical rate reduces the cooldown fairly rapidly in large groups. I run Inspiring Presence to increase the duration of Battle Rage and also because it supplies me with a little regen between battles and against smaller groups or single targets where Whirlwind/Sprint can't sustain me. One thing about this build is it's very powerful against Belial. It cleans up groups of adds really well and the tornadoes can damage Belial while you're dodging his fist slam and green explosion attacks.

Most people are too scared to commit to a build like this (stacking critical gear while still having defensive stats, which is ESSENTIAL for it to work optimally). They just swap their R mouse button skill to WW on their vanilla barb, go out to WW a mob, die, and post on here "OH TRY ACT 3 IT DOESN'T WORK HERPDYDERPY."

When you succeed with this in Act 3, next will come the pundits saying it wouldn't work in Act 4. Then will come people complaining about the equipment costs or who knows what.

Kudos to you for having the guts to commit to a build like this. A lot of barbs had an inkling of the synergies inherent in the skills, and a lot have been successful with variants of abusing crit/sprint. I think adding WW into that mix is a nice way to maneuver around champs in inferno while still doing damage. It's a lot easier to control than FC and doesn't have the cooldowns/clumsiness of skills like revenge/leap.
Its not even that i want to be a nay sayer, but this style isn't why i rolled a barb.

and yea, it will probably be nefed. Throw weapon should be as well.

interesting tornado build. I have sprintnados in my build as well but I don't go full on WoTB/WW. How does this fare against smaller mobs of elites? It seems like rage generation could get flatlined if you accidentally spin too much and the sprintnados don't proc the extra regen from Fray.
Is LoH needed for this to be effective? I'm trying it right now and I seem to not be gaining hp when i use Whirlwind.
Keep in mind I'm kiting a lost, but it's a triple pack, you wouldn't normally fight that. ^^
Versus most single packs of champion, I can just keep spinning in the middle and regen enough to compensate their damage, no need to wait for ignore pain.

It's way easier against a single pack, and the fury generation is enough to keep spinning ~90% of the time.
Even when I accidently spin to 0 fury, there's usually still several tornadoes left in the field that "save" me by giving me back enough to restart. :)

I made a post in my sprint thread about this, but I use something very similar and I believe the loss of movement speed during whirlwind is causing you to lose one or more of the tornadoes from sprint. So even though you get that Dust Devil you are moving slower and not really increasing fury generation or damage.

I recommend you try using Hurricane. You will get hit a whole lot less as well especially during WotB because you will be moving past mobs faster than their attack animation.
