Diablo® III

Looking for cheap hard drive and comp case

Any ideas? I ran out of money for my build and these are the only two parts I need left. My budget is $10 and some comics from the 90's.

Sorry, there's no "cheap" hard drive nowadays due to the price hike from the flooding, if you are looking for a new one.

You can consider recycling existing old hard drives if their capacity satisfies you, and that it is SATA interface at least. Otherwise, a 500GB will take about $80.

As for the computer case... if you want one that's halfway decent at any rate, expect to spend $50 or so on it.

I only need enough room for Diablo 3 and Windows on the hard drive. I'm thinking around 60GBs.

I think I'm going to go looking through the trash for abandoned computers and see if I see a case. Damn Dells use some weird BTX or something though.

If you don't need that much space, I would strongly recommend you spend a little more for a 60/64GB SSD.

For example:

As for the case:
How about something like this?

Thanks Kalganized. You are always so friendly and in the hardware section. I think I have an old 60GB lying around. I'm probably going to consider that case though if nothing turns up on craigslist.

Out of curiosity, what's your build so far? We can probably cut some costs from it.

Lol you are high end consumer Kalganized. This build is for a separate computer just for Diablo because my primary desktop (AMD FX 8150, 8GB RAM, GTX 560Ti, . . .) is busy with work. So this is an extreme budget build so I can play Diablo while my simulations are running.

Okay, here goes:
AMD Phenom X3 8600
2 x 1GB DDR 2 800 MHz
Asrock 6150SE
ATI HD 4850
Nexus Value 430 PSU
A 60GB SATA HDD from a salvaged Mac Mini(maybe not sure if damaged)

I've spent $93.50 so far. I was trying to get it under $100, but the case is going to break the bank.

Hm.

Yeah, if you are going under $100 for the entire build, not much you can do for it. The cheapest I could get to was about $350ish. :/

Usually you have all the answers lol. $350 on Newegg is actually really stellar. To you have a copy of that build?
