should i use sharpshooter?

hello first time poster here. I have 50% crit chance and 250% crit damage 3.0 attacks per sec. I was wondering if I should still use sharpshooter or if I should use cull the weak since my weapon has cold damage? Any help would be greatly appreciated thank you.

How often are you slowing enemies? Do you kite them with Caltrops?

off topic: awesome stats for you.. how did you get that stats? tips please?

anyways, in my opinion, if i got your stats, i wouldn't go for sharpshooter, i'll just focus more on defensive passives. cheers.

i dont use Caltrops, but the cold damage slows often, I'm open to other suggestions other then culling the weak, it was just the first thing I thought of, as you would expect I have a high crit build.

If you have anything over 25% crit chance, you pretty much don't need sharpshooter since your crit chance will nullify the effect of SS and vice versa. In your case, you have 50% cri chance. That is one crit every freakin two hits. I don't think SS will help you much in your case, as it will only make you crit about 3-4 more times at the start of a fight, and nothing more.

So, I would recommend you use cull of the weak, especially if you use caltrops in your build. I was thinking that maybe the passive that gives you discipline on crits (can never remember its name) might work with such high crit chance, but i don't know.

Btw, i have no idea how on earth you managed to get 50% crit chance and 250% crit damage, but kudos to you for that.

Edit: Btw, do you use bow, 2h crossbow, or hand crossbow? Because 3.0 attack speed is pretty high.

Sorry I forgot to mention I use the standard, steady aim and archery as my other two.

thanks I was also thinking about night stalker as well, I think that might be best considering the build type, I just didn't want to miss out on any extra damage I could put in.

You're right, DH should prioritize damage over tankiness (notice how i said tankiness, not survivability). But a corpse can't do damage. Our survivability comes from smokescreen, which comes from discipline, which can be generated by nightstalker (yes thank you for reminding me of the name!).

But, I've never tried nightstalker builds simply because i can't get high enough crit chance, so I can't really force you into using it. It's you're choice, I'm just putting it out there as an option that seems pretty good.

Ok i see. Because if you got 50% crit chance with a 2h crossbow, then I'd say you broke the game or something.

With an attack speed of 3 a second, it's kind of useless to use sharpshooter.

yea a lot different options are open to me because my crit, for instance spray of teeth is amazing, but nether tentacles still beat out my impale grievous wound, but only because of the cost.

Update. I tried night stalker with shadow power gloom, with spray of teeth, since the spray can crit too, I can almost always keep up shadow power and or smoke screen. Still working on the build tho, trying to get it just right.

you can get more 50% cric chance with 2h crossbow..

gloves can add 7.5% helm 4.5%, Bracer 4.5%, rings 6-8%, quiver 8%, 7% from natalyna (just need 2 set item), + overpower rune on caltrops :). You can also get a cric amulet that goes up to 7% if i'm not wrong.

i am just 1 more set item away from my 50% cric out of the possible max 57% i calculated.

This gear will easily cost u 20m ++

With how crazy AH prices are right now that gear would probably cost you 50 mil lol : / Also I do not believe you can get that 50% crit and 250% crit damage with a 2 handed Xbow, but im not quite sure.
