Diablo® III

Yet Another Graphics Card Question

I’m also one of those people with an older computer that will not run D3.
Here are the specs:
• Dell Inspiron 530
• Quad core Q9300 processor, 2.5 GHz
• 6GB RAM
• ATI Radeon HD 2600 XT – 256 MB
• 350W Power supply
• Chipset - G33/ICH9

I realize the graphics card is the weak link here.
I have seen people recommend the Radeon 7750 but it has a recommended PS of 400W.
Is this crucial? I’d rather not replace the PS as well as the graphics card.

No, the 7750 actually consumes a very little power, and 350W should be sufficient.

Ensure that the one you buy doesn't require 6-pin PCI-E power plug however (XFX has one that does).

Amazon is selling a Sapphire Radeon 7750 for $109. Do you know if it requires the 6-pin PCI-E plug?
