i think if your item has not been bid on at all you should be able to remove from the AH or give us more spaces.

It should be something like this:
you can cancel the auctions if no one bids... if someone does bid then if you cancel it it will immediately sell to the highest bidder |

I'd watch out doing this. It's technically considered an exploit by Blizzard so if Blizzard catches you doing this in their reports, you could get the banhammer and an account wipe. A lot of the people getting wiped in this run of bans are from people exploiting the game using "system time hacks": http://us.battle.net/d3/en/forum/topic/5740846683

I dont think you should be able to cancel your auction at time. I do think that you should be able to chose 12 Hours or 1 day as a posting option. I dont care for having all 10 of my slots taken up for days, and having to try to navigate Trade channel. There should be a filter to match the possible number of affixes; if an item can have 6 affixes then you need six filters imho. |

Sorry -- being able to cancel your own auction (legitimately) is a terrible idea. People bid on an item, and sometimes wait to bid in the last minutes of an item. Their gold is also held in escrow if they have the winning bid.
If auction cancellations were possible, I would never bid on anything (I'd just Buyout). |

It'll suck for the massive undercutting, yet at the same time probably help with the over-inflated prices allowing the market to stay competitive yet affordable. Though hate the idea of potentially finding a bargain, about to win the item, then it gets cancelled because someone doesn't want it to go for as cheap as it was listed. If you don't want your item to get sold for next-to-nothing, don't list it so low to get interest then get butthurt that it didn't go for millions.
To combat that, I'd submit that any auction can be cancelled as long as there are no bids. Though the cancelling will help out a ton as I hate sitting on all of rares clogging my stash that I could be selling, but instead am waiting for spots to clear up from the stuff that isn't. |

We're already planning to allow players the option to cancel their auctions at any point provided the auction doesn't have any active bids. This may not make patch 1.0.3, but it's definitely something we want to do. |

Its annoying that you have to wait 2 days or whatever the timer is set at for an item which a while after you posted, you know isn't going to be bought (figure out you charged too much or whatever). However if they give you the option to cancel, they sure as hell better make it for only items with NO BIDS...lets say you start an item at 1 gold, to get the bidding frenzy up, but near the end, its not going for what you want so you cancel the auction in the last 5 minutes. You just wasted 100's of bidders time because you wanted 50k more gold...

An option to accept the highest active bid, as an alternative to cancelling, would be great. That would allow for quicker sales and for us to "cancel" less important auctions without cheating people who had already bid on our item.

I'm not worried about cancelling auctions for stuff I'm selling, but I wold like to be able to withdraw bidding on an item if I've been outbid, or if the item's been bought out by someone else, so it's not cluttering up my window.
