Activision kills another great company

We're Blizzard Entertainment. We're the development studio that designed this game and its business model. If you have any issues or concerns about how we make games, take them up with us in a civil, reasoned manner. Claiming some larger corporate entity is to blame without any tangible evidence just isn't constructive and has no merit.

These forums are here so we have a great resource for collecting player feedback and, when necessary, relaying design insight and important information back to the community. I hope you see why choosing to fabricate a narrative that explains any frustration you might be having with this game not only doesn't help us, but is counter productive for you too.

P.S. Please don't post thread titles in all caps. I've edited that for you. :)

OK I understand your post but clearly you guys do not take into account the wants and the needs of your players only the wants and the needs of the share holders, our feedback is mute, clearly looking at the threads and the sheer disgust that has ensued since the patch it clearly shows your player base does not like this limit you guys have put in on the game, the game is clearly centered around farming and to limit us the amount of times we can farm is not helping anyone it is hurting the average player base. We cannot get good items by playing the game over and over in hell mode and dont get me wrong, I have ran act 4 hell mode alot, and yet have not found 1 useful item to put towards my gear so I may proceed to inferno, I get 1 shot instantly on inferno...

So with our feed back you guys have done NOTHING to address our concerns or wants or wishes at all, it seems like the more we want the more you take. You show me 1 way I can get awesome items with out whipping out my pocket book and buying items on the over priced and insane RMAH then I will believe you and not make a single post about this again..

How do you guys not freak out on these types of posters? Be honest, Bliz pumps something through the air vents to keep you guys relaxed, right?

No, I'm just going through the Lamaze technique. :p

I guess you're right, I mean, people still play SWTOR right?

That was a good game, its just gets to be to much to play one let alone two mmo's.

I'm sure this post will probably just be deleted anyway.)

No need to delete it, not responding works just as well.

What I've learned through this whole debacle is not to ever buy a Blizzard game at release again.

Bliz is one of 3 I actually will buy from at launch. Are they perfect? Absolutely not. But any other company and you'd stil be having the same day 1 issues Bliz had all but hammered out after the first two days.

just curious as to why only the troll threads have been actually responded to .. even just to say they have been seen/noticed w/e

there have been MANY well mannered and well written posts made over the last few days with very legitimate concerns that have gone ignored en masse whereas i see blue posts like this ASKING for those very posts to be made at the same time

what the heck is going on over there guys ? ... if its one of those " we cannot comment at this time" .. simply saying that .. followed by " a final decision has not been made and i would hate to put my foot in my mouth so i wont " from a blue here and there would do WONDERS for the general mood of the forumgoing playerbase

as many WoW players might understand

"soon"

just that ... and i bet you would instantly have a bunch less useless threads to delete ... further freeing you up to deal with important issues

granted you could almost bet on the fact you would get a few " omg blizz soon isnt a when !!AMGHAWD !!!" posts .. but im just hoping on the balance being in favor of the good lol

You're also subjected to the suggestions and influences of the larger corporate entity. And seeing what Activision has been doing with their game titles over the recent years, I can see how the OP would be lead to suggested to believe that Activision has had a hand in influencing the development of D3 (there are simply a lot of issues that dissatisfy costumers, many of them loyal fans of this franchise).

Here's some feedback, bro. Input level reached. We need to farm. Diablo without farming is just a terrible game. GG. Does this involve you? Does this have merit? Destroying your company's name is important. Blizzard is not on my auto buy list anymore. Does this have merit?!

If you want an answer to your real question, we've passed along plenty of feedback about the game creation limit to the appropriate people. The fact that it's an inconvenience for you doesn't negate what's said here:

http://us.battle.net/d3/en/forum/topic/5795159597

This change was made to help reduce server strain and improve overall game stability, and we'll continue to monitor the situation and make additional improvements as necessary. We're currently working to find a solution that allows most players who are playing normally to create games without encountering this error, but will still limit some of the more extreme cases of rapid game creation. We appreciate your patience as we make these adjustments.

Zar, I realize Blizzard is a for-profit corporation and corporations will do anything to increase those profits, but as a long time fan of Blizzard games, I have to say that the Real Money Auction House does not sit well with me at all. It feels so shady. It's going to turn games that are meant to be fun, into at home businesses. And those who have really good luck with drops, or devote their life to farming are going to end up making quite a bit of money with this, while those who have bad luck may not even be able to pay of the cost of the game in the first place.

It's one thing for you to offer sales of items to players through the use of real money (like Sony does with Station Cash), but for millions of players to literally run this as a business should have never ever been implemented. I personally have lost most respect for Blizzard over this.
