Some help with PHP

So I tried to join a WebDev forum to get this straightened out but the sign-up got screwed up so I'm just gonna ask here instead as I feel someone here will be able to help me out.

I'm trying to use require_once() to import a page that has a bunch of functions I need to access. For some reason I'm getting an error. My friend (I'm designing the site for him) is using GoDaddy for his web hosting and it says right on the FTP page that the absolute path is /home/##/######/filename.php.

So my code looks like this:

require_once('/home/##/######/filename.php);

But I'm getting an error thrown that says it can't find the file. Is there something wrong with my syntax? Sorry if I'm not being very specific but I'm currently at work and can't check the exact error message.

Any help would be greatly appreciated, I'm kind of hitting a wall here.

did you copy/paste that directly here? If so... i'd start by looking at your quotes

1. Check quotes, as other people have said.

2. Use relative paths, not absolute.

No I didn't copy/paste it here. There aren't any silly mistakes, I've checked and re-checked.

Jemima - what do you mean by relative path?

Thanks!
