Diablo® III

So I've been respawning the Halls of Agony lvl 2 to try and get the Prisoner's Journal event to appear. Two questions: Does it spawn in that bloody flaming pit at the end of level two below the Highland Passage door? Is it quest dependent? I got a checkpoint at Highland Passage so I've just been restarting right there and checking for it, but I've yet to get the event to spawn.

never mind this, I think I'm remembering backwards. I have to check XD

Yes; it's a rare spawn that I had to farm for quite a while before finally getting it. You'll know it's there when you see a yellow dot on your mini-map.

Just got it... got it on my 12th try.

Tips:
-start the imprisoned angel quest
-grind through halls of agony 1 & 2
-after level 2 of HoA you will take a door to Highlands Passage, once through the door, you'll hit a check point.
-TP to town & log off
-restart game and go back in the door to HoA level 2
-wait a second & see if the yellow dot is on your minimap
-if the dot is on your map, run to the dot
-if the dot is not on your map, TP to town, leave game, & restart

-this method took me 12 tries, but I've got it now.

Beginning to wonder if this is broke. 32 tries since I started counting and hasn't shown up yet. 51 tries still no luck. After 62 tries he finally spawned..

It works, however, you don't need to do the TP to town. :)

Sinply put, if you see that the dot isn't there, simply log off and re-login from the checkpoint you did hit. :)

I seem to be only getting the iron maiden quest... and there seems to be no journal around... b4 or after the quest.. advice?
