I'd say it is well documented that Deadmau5 is not only one of us, but a fan of blizzard games. He's tweeted about getting slain in the pony level, so obviously is he no noob. I'm making a formal request for blizzard to do whatever it takes to get Deadmau5 to play Blizzcon. I firmly believe that he represents us more than any band or DJ out there. If he remixed the soundtrack to any blizzard game, and we all know that blizzard produces some damn impressive soundtracks, if he were to incorporate his talent into a Blizzcon show, we all would win. Even the haters. I love the Dee and FF, but they are not real gamers and we know it. Deadmau5 is. Don't believe me look at this. Yeah he doesn't mention blizzard but tell me he is not one of us.... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3yIw9TU4vgk

It's not terrible. You just don't see the talent behind the guy that makes really great electronic music.

He regularly does video streams of him making tracks and usually has them available for free to download.

He just like any other regular person, and cares about his fans.

I'm not saying that it wouldn't be cool to have him at Blizzcon, especially if he's a gamer, but let's not overstate his talent. He sure doesn't. He's at least honest about how simple his job is.

People get the message from that Rolling Stone article all backwards. That's aimed at Hilton and others who don't make their own tracks and/or have nothing to do with the set design.

Talent, like most art, is subjective. Also as all gamers know pushing buttons can be a challenge.

He's not just a DJ, he's a producer. DJs play music that other people produce.
and really a good DJ is doing a whole lot more than button pushing...

It's apparent you know nothing about what he does. He absolutely hates people who re-sample or use music from other people.

He makes all of his music. Every electronic note, effect, etc.. He often does livestreams and makes music on the fly. He's usually on his huge alienware. Haven't seen any lately, but last time he was playing minecraft.

Now he has done some collaborations too. Last collaboration, someone threw some vocals on, and he used them with the person to make an awesome song. Free download as well. He tries to give as much to his fans as possible. Not just using them as mindless consumers.

Deadmau5 has my vote for the next blizzcon. Maybe he is less mainstream than people like foofighters but he is pretty damned popular so it's not too much of a stretch to think he could do something a majority of the audience might like.
