Gold is now available for trading as a commodity on the real-money auction house in the Americas. --- Update 7/10/12: The following commodities are now available for trading in the real-money auction house:
The ability to trade gold as a commodity is not yet available, but we hope to enable it in the near future. Keep an eye on this thread for further updates.

What is soooooon?
As in when the servers come back up, or like 2 weeks soon?

i like how when blizzard is going to update the game the wait till the servers are down before they post on the game, with the notification. at least post down times 24hr in advance not last minute. i was on this morning and there was no notification on the login screen

When is 'soon' ? Is that after today's maintenance or next week? Next month ?

The ability to trade gold will not be available for players. Blizzard will setup a new company with a new website and online purchasing. Get ready with your credit cards and shop till you drop. Weekly maintenance 6-12 hours as usual. Words of wisdom "Get Used To It". (It's all about the money~ money~ money~) $.$ ka-ching
