Frequent Disconnects

(Locked)

I am getting frequent disconnects that is making the game about unplayable.

These are not full game / log out disconnects but rather just game disconnects. I am still logged in and placed back on to the character screen.

It is happening about once every 2 - 5 minutes.

There error I am receiving is The game client has disconnected from the server.

Please help :(

Let's see if anything shows up on a trace route.

Can you post some more information about your connection?

Both of your traces look good, save for a slight bump on Hop 13 in your first trace.

Would it be possible to bypass the Linksys WRT54G2 just for now, and connect directly to the Cisco modem, and see if that makes any difference while you're in game?

Sure, ill report back in about 20 minutes after I run it.
It has not happened in the last 20 minutes. The only hickups ive noticed is some rubberbanding.
And as I say that, it is happening again.

I would also check for any [url="http://us.battle.net/support/en/article/network-card-issues"]offload[/url] options, and disable each and every option.

I am running a similar setup to OP. All my drivers are up to date, and I disables all offloads.
Wired Connection
Firewall is disabled
No antivirus
No IS security

Network card: Atheros AR8152/8158 PCI-E Fast Ethernet Controller (NDIS 6.20)
Router: Linksys WRT54G
Modem: Motorolla SB5101

Any other suggestions? Thanks.
Since Update of Drivers, I have not experienced it. I will put updates here as they come up.

VegasViking, have you also tried bypassing your Linksys WRT54G temporarily, and connecting straight to the Motorola modem?

I have been fighting this as well have submitted a ticket updated all my stuff have not bypassed router but might try that. checked my speed 45mb up and down so connection should be good....
