Diablo® III

Mouse Cursor Disappears

There have been many threads about this, but this is happening once every two or three days to me. I am playing on a 2011 macbook pro.

Basically the mouse pointer disappears and it becomes impossible to pick anything up because you can't aim at anything, and makes it almost impossible just to log out of the game. I've noticed it happens a lot after elite kills. Not sure if that helps nail down the problem. But I'm pretty sure that is what it relates to as every time it happens i spend 15 mins trying to pick up rares without a mouse cursor.

If anyone knows any workarounds, please offer them.

The same thing happens to me on my iMac. It seems to disappear when I am accessing my inventory. If you can manage to change to a windowed rather than fullscreen view, the mouse cursor comes back. Then you can hit cancel and go back to the fullscreen mode. It is extremely annoying and it happens quite often (2 or 3 times an hour).

I was around four times so far, too.
I use iMac(2011later).
When it looks like it, I end it by a feel, but report that a cursor came back when I come back to Diablo3 after changing it to the screen of the desktop.
(Because English is not proud, I use translation of WEB … What is hard to understand an excuse.)

Same happens to me. Running a Mac Book Pro with OS X 10.7.5

Been working on killing Diablo MP10 Inferno and I keep losing the cursor at various parts after the cutscenes in the fight. Happens if I try to skip the cut scenes and it happens if i let them play normally.

I have seen this problem a few times (MacBook Pro, Magic Mouse, 10.7.5). I had to exit the game and restart it to solve the problem. Command-Tab to switch to the Finder and back did not help. Command-M toggles between windowed and full screen mode. That's worth a shot, but I don't think I tried it.

Thanks for the reports. We're looking into this now. Can y'all paste some full system specs so we can check this out?

    1. Launch Diablo III.
    2. Put Diablo III into Windowed Mode if it is not already in Windowed Mode.
    3. From the system menu bar, select Help > Copy Support Information: http://i49.tinypic.com/33njnzn.png
    4. Paste the contents of the copied system information here (Command-V)

I report that a cursor disappeared with a hard core mode in the place of Butcher.
When it is hard core, it is dangerous.
Though "leave game" was enough somehow, I prepared for death …
Please push forward an investigation.

We haven't been able to reproduce this yet. I'm working with the team to see what other information we need to help push this along.

It happened to me once before, I rebooted D3 and it fixed it. Now I'm at the Butcher on Nightmare and every time the fight actually starts, my cursor disappears.

When the cursor disappears it is still active. If I move the mouse around slowly, I'll see items on the ground highlight as the cursor passes over them.

This has happened on all versions of ML so far, even on my late 2008 MBP when it was alive.

Thanks all.

I touched base with our team and what we need is to see what exact settings you're running. Can y'all do me a solid and post your D3Prefs.txt file on pastebin.com?

    1. Launch Diablo III.
    2. Put Diablo III into Windowed Mode if it is not already in Windowed Mode.
    3. From the system menu bar, select Diablo III > Show in Finder > Game Preferences: http://oi48.tinypic.com/2yoa1qu.jpg
    4. Open D3Prefs.txt.
    5. Copy/paste the file contents to http://pastebin.com and link the url here.

Thanks!

I've sent all this up for review.

Any news ?

The easiest, not most convenient fix I've found is to restart the client.

Not yet, but I'll ping again to see.

I've seen some users report that toggling Windowed mode and back seems to help in the mean time.

This happens to my MacBookPro when I enter Ghom's Den to kill his Butt! THIS ONLY happens at that point in the entire game for me. Right when I enter and have to cancel the cinematics, The game comes back and My cursor is gone. I play mostly alone so I simply ESC/Pause, Tab-ALT or Minimize D3, enter D3 again, Cursor is back. This doesn't happen a lot, but the error 3007 is more irritating than this IMHO...

+1 this issue ALWAYS happens to me and has happened since d3 launch gameplay. What if I were to play Hardcore and have my mouse cursor disappear? LOL. Anyways, If I have time will do some testing myself and include some results to help out.
