Hey Thizzle,

We are currently in the process of rolling restarts of all of our servers, and the maintenance is estimated to go until 7:20 PM. Some servers may have the fix, others may not until they are restarted.

Not all servers have picked up the hotfix yet, hence the term rolling restarts. There are several servers under each of the Global Play regions (EU, US, Asia).

Maintenance on all of them should end around 7:20 PM PST. By that time, the hotfix should be applied to all servers.

why was this fixed so quickly when the un-id exploit has been running rampant?

Everything necessary to fix the wizard mishap is server-side. The unid issue is client side so it can only be tackled in a patch that players download and install.

Please also fix the un-id exploit for people able to see the machine code of the item before ID......

as fast as this issue was fixed there is no reason why the UNID exploit can't be fixed just as quickly. Or you can go the other way and say there really wasn't any reason for them to hurry this hotfix along when it could have been implemented during regular downtime tomorrow.

Blizzard probably wants the unid market to die since they cant make anything off of it. Not fixing the exploit will force a good amount of gold/$ back into the AH. Not all, but definitely more than with the unid market thriving as it was.

I don't really care what their reason is for the inconsistencies, but it is clear that their actions do not match their statements. What makes this situation worse is the fact that this bug has been out for a month but only a few people were using it. When a few people use it they don't care, but as soon as the masses start using it and having fun with it then it must be stopped immediately and at all costs.

It's really clear that they only care about the bugs and exploits that make them look stupid and don't care about fixing the exploits that make the game less fun for the players, like the UNID exploit, and the trade window problems.

So the bugs that let people have fun you fix within 24 hours, but the bugs that enable scamming, frustration, and exploitation of other players you let go? UNID item exploit is ok, lag is ok, rubberbanding is ok, the trade window being exploitable is ok, botting is ok, but godly characters is not ok?

But all of THOSE problems lead players directly to the RMAH... this one actually lets players gear THEMSELVES.

Avoiding the RMAH??? That's "game-breaking" for certain.

You're really trying to argue that god mode isn't game-breaking?

You need to run your arguments through a reality check, and then run them again through the TSA just to be sure.
