Diablo® III

Google Fiber

Only available in Kansas City right now, but oh my god. Here's the cliffnotes:

Network box:
- Plugs into fiber jack for input. 1 Gb up and down
- Gigabit router with four 1 Gbit ethernet ports and highspeed WiFi
- Also plugs into coax for ethernet distribution throughout house

DVR Storage box:
- Plugs into coax
- 2 TB of storage
- 500 Hours of HD
- Record 8 channels at one time

TV Box:
- Plugs into coax
- HDMI out to TV
- 1 Gb Ethernet port
- WiFi Access Point

$120/month for TV/Internet, or $70/month for just internet.

I cannot wait until this goes to other major cities(particularly mine).

I would call $120 expensive but with the ever-increasing prices of Pay TV Services currently on the market, it's a great price for the speed.

I would pay $70/month for that internet. I'm at about $55 now for much less...

KC resident here. The $120/month is pretty copetitive with what Time Warner offers, but with infinantly better infrastructure. I pay $30/month with TW for 10mb up/5mb down and I"m luck to get 2up/1 down! Cant wait till they get fiber out to the suburbs where I live!
