Same thing for me, although this started for me as of today after todays maintenance. Been fine since i started playing a bit after release. Was even fine last week, it just started 7+hours ago (didn't log in until real late after the maintenance, was busy all day)
MacBook Pro 17-inch, Mid 2010
2.66 GHz Intel Core i7
4 GB 1067 MHz DDR3
NVIDIA GeForce GT 330M 512 MB
Mac OS X Lion 10.7.4 (11E53)
Tried all suggestions, the blue post, internet connection, all up to dates and everything on my end for this system. What am i missing? Maintenance have any updates I missed?
I tried what was suggested by the blue and I appreciate acknowledgement but how is it that the game ran fine until today and how is it for me worrying about my end when we have no real affirmation. Can I call it for a couple days, I think I will but I could be doing other things instead of checking back to see if it's solved/work arounds.

Machkhan, you may wish to add to the troubleshooting page an entry regarding opting out of the Spotlight indexing system. This can in some cases, especially low memory cases, significantly reduce stuttering.
To disable Spotlight indexing for the drive you have Diablo 3 on, do the following:
1) Open the System Preferences (Apple Menu > System Preferences...)
2) Click the Spotlight icon.
3) Click the Privacy tab.
4) Click the "+" icon at the bottom of the window to open a special dialogue window.
5) Navigate to the drive that has Diablo 3 installed and select it.
This disables Spotlight indexing for that entire drive, which can help tremendously with asset loading issues, especially on rotational platter based hard drives. This can help with SSDs as well to a lesser extent.
This is the Mac OS X equivalant of disabling Windows' Indexing System. The one difference between the two though, is that you will lose all search capability via the Finder(CMD-F) for the drive you are exempting from Spotlight.
^ This, thanks for replying Calot! Yes I tried changing the res which seems to help, although i have played on highest res with no problems since release. But I still seem to think that even changing it still has lag or whatever.
To update more on my situation I tried playing live wow, and beta which all are unpolished going through updates/ unfinished which is subject to change I understand. When I tried playing all of them I noticed lag on all these games. I will say it again I haven't had any problems until yesterday. Maybe it's Blizzards end with the Unfinished game as stated by Calot.
So going further on my part to solve my/this issue to see if it's my end; Luckily I still have Active Telephone Tech Support, Repairs and Service Coverage and AppleCare Protection Plan! I'm scheduled a call with them tonight although I'm more than likely sending this out to repair to see if anything is wrong.
A special note to any Blizzard employee that may read this, I'm doing my part to resolve this/or my particular issue that may be wrong. Any blue to post to give/update any kind of affirmation would be appreciated.
So I'm likely to be calling it for much longer.
I do have Starcraft but i uninstalled awhile back i did try running The Sims 3 and works fine. I called the Tech support and when he got me to run disk utility after cleaning mac cache in safe mode. it wouldn't go to the language selection.. where the apple logo is on start up it had a circle with a line through it and got VERY hot. It never went to the language selection so that's when he said to go to local place to check it out only it's an hour away so I have to Fed ex it to Memphis or Houston.
That being said and how much total i spent on this computer which I still think was a good investment I think it's best to get it checked out, I do know that maybe the dust is probably contributing to it and I surely am not qualified to take apart clean it right. No matter what is wrong with it, "if" there's anything it will be replaced or fixed. I want to be sure and it's still covered.
So I will post back when it returns, and you better bet I will be testing Diablo when it arrives... then "cough" everything is sure to be fine on my end.
I've seen little improvement on performance on my iMac. In fact, default settings have actually made the text-heavy parts of the screen harder to read! Anti-aliasing hasn't been able to address the issue, and I get screen tearing if I leave anti-aliasing checked. It's still looking bad.
