Canceling Agent Thing For Admin Pass. No Work

A lot of people said that canceling that agent thing on the launcher will finally get Diablo to work. Well it doesn't work for me. I've tried everything people said like opening Activity Monitor and deleting any Diablo III Launcher, Agent, etc and then clicking cancel. Still doesn't work. I deleted my Battle.net folder doesnt work either. I tried that Disk Utility didn't work either. I'm in China, does that effect anything? When I click cancel to the agent it says, "Failed to download information about the next patch. Check your network connection."

My brother's diablo worked when he clicked cancel. Maybe it has something to do with what version of OS X you have because I have Snow Leopard and he has Lion. He gave me his Diablo with a hard drive, and half of the time i can click play and it will open the Diablo III login page, but when i type in my info it stops at connecting to battle.net server and I can't connnect. It says error 3005. My brother can connect. Still can't play.

What game region do you play on ?

And in the Data_D3 -> PC -> MPQ folder what folders do you have inside there ?

I did notice I had to press cancel a couple of times before the green bar would appear and I could click Play.

Doesn't work if i change region to Asia. My problem isn't getting the update and opening diablo. My problem is once i open it i can't login cuz it stops at connecting to battle.net server.

Did you try this and see if it helps?

    1. Force quit any Diablo III, Agent and Blizzard Launcher processes in Activity Monitor.
    2. Navigate to /Applications/Diablo III.
    3. Delete the D3Debug.txt file.
    4. Reset the Diablo III game folder permissions.
    5. Launch Diablo III.
  • If the game prompts to enter in your administrator username/password, hit Cancel.
  • If it doesn't it should load fine.
  • 6. Diablo III should load.

Okay that's all I needed. Do you have a diablo3_enus folder at /Users/Shared/Battle.net/Setup/diablo3_enus ?

Try grabbing a new Diablo III.tfil and Diablo III.mfil from :

http://patchup.info/d3/tfil/

The Diablo III.mfil file link appears once you have selected a region for the Diablo III.tfil file to download

Unzip them then throw them into the D3 folder , replacing what is there.

The replacement should be done when you have no Agent , Blizzard Launcher , Diablo III , Diablo III Launcher or any other Blizzard programs running. Restart if this make this easier for you.

Then open from the Launcher again.

To Bluspacecow: Yea I have that diablo3_enus folder there, when i clicked cancel it worked fine, but I still can't play. My diablo III opens, but once I try to login it stops at connecting to battle.net and then eventually says There was an error connecting to battle.net. (Error 3005). So I still can't play. You're a pretty smart and helpful guy. Thanks. You know a lot. I just threw in the .tfil file directly in the Diablo III folder didn't find anything to replace.

and if i dont turn on my vpn client then when i open the launcher it says, "failed to download information about the next patch. check your network connection."

when i download the .mfil file i can download it but i cant open it like it looks like an empty file with nth on it.
