Diablo® III

How's my Butcher Farm?

I posted asking for help about Act 1 Inferno yesterday, and It turned out I can do pretty well. I just finished my first butcher farm an hour ago, but it took me about 40 minutes. I died like 3-4 times and encountered around 6-7 elite packs, but I'm worried this is too slow. I could really use some advice or tips n tricks on how to be more efficient. My stats and build atm:

Str: 365
Dex: 408
Int: 2104
Vit: 661

4431 armor buffed
30.6k DPS
20.00% crit chance
211.00% crit damage

290-370 res all
23.4k life
532 life regen buffed
0 LoH
74% MF

Primary: Shock Pulse w/ Piercing Orb
Secondary: Arcane Orb w/ Obliteration
Diamond Skin w/ Crystal Shell
Venom Hydra
Teleport w/ Fracture
Energy Armor w/ Force Armor

Passives:

Illusionist
Galv Ward
Astra; Presence

Thanks for any help :) I plan on farming the Butcher for a while, going to try and build some cash before I try moving onto Act 2

I just tried looking into ways of boosting my DPS, but I'm too poor to be wasting all of my money atm :/ I'd look into adding force weapon, but I like my general build right now.

Any other ways I could speed up my run? Or atleast some help on how to boost my dps?

I was thinking of switching arcane orb for blizzard, i'll try it in the morning. and i don't have a problem with elites atm, i start at the very beginning of 'fallen angel', I always have 5 NV when I fight the warden. thanks for the help :)

The point of a "butcher run" isn't really to kill the butcher (oddly enough), it's to get as much loot as possible. There are a million posts on farming routes for A1, but just to be clear, you need to clear festering woods and the cemetery. Killing the butcher (and warden) are really just exclamation points on the run. You're only like 1 rare better off with them at 5 NV than a regular old elite pack.

My farming runs I clear the woods, cemetery, N highlands (and check for a dungeon spawn), leoric's manner backward to the front steps, then to HoA 2 and down through the rest of the butcher run. If I'm feeling like it, I'll go in from Leoric's manner again and clear through HoA 1 as well. Some runs I'll mix in cathedral 3.

One note on farming efficiency: TP back and use the way points after clearing any crypt or the warrior's rest / crypt of the ancients in FW. It's faster than running back out by quite a lot.

If you are interested, I got a decent drop for an arcane orb / flux build that is a clear upgrade to your weapon in your profile. Int/Vit/Life on Kill ...High damage cap, but more importantly, its arcane damage......

I can link it to you this evening when I am home from work/gym. Its probably only worth 1.5/2m on the AH, but I will gladly let you have it for much cheaper.

So the first thing to do is get rid of teleport and illusionist. Pick up mw with the extra dmg. Next switch force armor to energy tap. Then turn your orb the the rune that makes it cost 20 to cast. Piercing orb is good but I would switch to mm with the increased dmg rune.

Sorry about formatting I'm on my phone. I would drop gal ward as well there isn't any reason to use it here I'd pick up either the passive that has signature spells make power or add in evocation for diamond skin. And of course glass cannon is a must for act 1.

Then u start quest at cursed hold and get a nice 5 stack kill warden then butcher and viola.
