do you want legendaries to drop like rain?

Why do you guys expect to be able to farm 3+ legendaries per run? This isn't Diablo 2.

If everyone could just get decked out in full legendaries then legendaries wouldn't be special anymore. There is no ladder reset so instead of obtaining a full set of legendaries in 3 months, you will be doing that over the course of 2-3 years.

You need crappy items to drop to make the good items more distinctive and rewarding. Someone's got to lose.

If everyone could just get the best gear with ease... what's the point?

Well the crap rate needs to be super high to keep you occupied with farming for the next 2-3 years, due to no ladder reset.

I have gotten 4 brimstones and 1 brown paperweight since 1.0.4 hit. Raining sulfur and brimstone is usually a bad thing, so I say no, I dont want legendaries to drop like rain.

the point is to have fun. Right now it's not fun. It's been months, we hope for one or two good drop to at least enter the final acts of the game. Not stuck in the earlier acts so that a few lucky people can feel special.

Yes. I do. Becuase that's what I find fun. I want my time spent grinding act 3 inferno elites to amount to something. The market is completely dead for rares so 99.9% of the drops I am getting aren't even sellable. There is zero incentive to grind any further. I can't improve my hero w/o buying/selling things in the auction house and lately that has been all but impossible.

Everyone has their own opinion about what is fun and what is not fun. For me, the idea of taking years to deck out my hero in the best gear is the very oposite of fun. I have almost entirely stopped playing this game b/c I can't find the motivation to grind for more trash.

I'm just one voice, but if blizzard doesn't find a way to make this game fun for people like myself, we will continue to struggle finding reasons to play.

Becuase of Diablo 3 my faith in Blizzard has vanished. I started with diablo and filled the gap with WoW since BC. I can honestly say I have not purchased mop and will not. There are many people that still love both games and will continue to play them, but for me personally blizzard does not know what fun means anymore. They only know what profit means.

TL;DR yes

I have played over 100 hours since the the update came out. I got only 2 legendaries. One of them was an okay sword that sold for under 100K and one is a terrible terrible sword that droped on a inferno unicorn run. The ledgedary drop rate is broken. I am already starting to play other games. I am not sure why you are posting that bs. I farm act 3 and the unicorns and I would not mind a level appropriate legendary drop every 5 hours. Instead of how it is. Please fix it developers you are making a really fun game be not as rewarding :(

I've been doing 2-5 Butcher runs a day with 5 NV stacks (base ~100% MF) for the last week. 95% of the rares I have found were vendor trash, another 4% have been auction worthy (250k was the highest seller), and 1 rare was actually a minor upgrade. Haven't seen a legendary since I was around level 30 when two dropped consecutively (1 from a mob the other from a jar) in Act 2 Nightmare (needless to say these were crap).

The drop rate is crap but it's certainly not going to keep me from farming away. Wouldn't mind a decrease in overall drop rate while increasing the quality though.

Sigh, not one of these threads again.

I found no good drops on the day of the patch, but I've found 7 upgrades (!) since the maintenance you guys are talking about. So if there were actually a stealth nerf, explain that.

But of course, my evidence is invalid because it disagrees with you, and only evidence that agrees with you is valid.

Anecdotes are not evidence. Anecdotes are 1 person's experience. You're posting in a thread where dozens of others have posted their anecdotes describing their experience, which to sum it up is: first few days after patch, great drops; since then, garbage.

Dozens > 1.

Even if they're all anecdotes and not evidence and certainly not science, the vast numbers of people reporting experiences differently than yours does show that some people get luckier than others. Some people win at the casinos 7 times in a row. But the casinos don't change the rules midgame, as the vast number of anecdotes indicate is going on with Blizz.

QED.

Hi there,

Yes, I would like to get way more legendary drops. Diablo 2 just felt right.
I have never ever played ladder. Just the occasional Softcore and sometimes I even played -online- ;)

I want to gather, to collect, to compare stuff and stay for my own if I feel like it.
I do -not- want to search the Auction House for hours everyday to buy upgrades but I feel like being forced into it.
I -do- want to have a bigger stash to gather tons of useless legendaries :)

This has become an economical simulation built around a good PC game, because a company had the idea to generate a cash cow that keeps the flow of money going on until enough players decice to quit. Then they could easily shut down their servers and move on. (Hellgate London anyone?)

It's not that I would need much more upgrades, but it would be great to have something to toy around with.
Only thing people can think of at the moment is, how much "worth" their run has been and what "loot they could sell for a good price on the Auction House".
I am just soooo tired of the Auction House right now >_>

So, yes, yes and triple yes: Increase the droprates. Limit and restrict the hell out of the Auction House. Only 2 items can be sold at once. People can only buy an item every 2 weeks and so on...
That way people playing for themselves can make progress -similar- to those using the Auction House.

What made diablo 2 great was that feeling of playing a slot machine.

You payed 1 dollar ( 5 min of your time ) for a chance to win a jackpot ( meph/baal run )

Right now it doesn't feel anything like that... I feel like I have to do a full act run to get the most amount of loot possible and at no point I get that feeling of "next time's the charm".

I'm getting bored of these moron posts. Nobody wants that, we just want a fair rewarding system, period.

If you are mfing at or near the mf cap on your switch gear, a legendary or set will drop at a rate of about one per 10 hours. Without MF expect that to take about 30 hours or more.

The prices of legendaries will continue to plummet over the coming months.

This will drive down the prices of rares.

Absolutely amazing gear is dirt cheap on the Ah now. I think people complaining they don't find stuff either aren't doing speed mf runs or only want absolutely amazing items. In this game 3 - 4 affixs that are high rolls will allow a person to absolutely gigga stomp the entire game. As in carry a for player game solo, rarely dying in Act 3 Inferno faceroll. If you are trying to buy this equipment you are competing with high level speed farmers who are looking to faceroll the game harder than they currently are, it's foolish to do that.

I absolutely smash the game with my gear.

I never played D2, however:

I do lots of 5-6 minute runs.
I've gotten 14 legendary so far since 1.0.4.
I've gotten rares that sold for as high as $70 after 1.0.4.

For reference, I've played about 30 hours since the patch and am at paragon lv 21. So I did spend quite a bit of time playing since the patch came out.
