Is there anyway to get this API information pulled into Excel? I've had some experience working with Eve Online API pulls into Excel, but this doesn't seem to be working the same way. I know very little about this stuff, and used the documentation from the Eve Online API pulls to do what I was doing with Eve. This is different somehow though, because when I try to do it through "Data / From Web" and use the URL like "http://us.battle.net/api/d3/profile/Straton-1/" it doesn't work (Of course I'm subbing my own BNet tag for Straton-1)
Any help would be appreciated.
Actually ... nevermind .. the information isn't useful for what I wanted to do with it since I can't seem to figure out how to extract the stats from the items given that all I get is this really long string of letters and numbers as a tooltip param. Unless there's some way to do that, this won't be useful for me putting my characters and gear into a spreadsheet.

Full disclosure, I have no experience/desire to use Excel for something like this and my knowledge of Excel is limited.
What I'd do to solve this problem is look for a JSON to CSV conversion tool (google) and try that. I doubt Excel natively supports json so the first step would be getting the data into a format that Excel can use.
You could use one of the .NET libraries following the steps on this website:
This isnt NATIVE excel, but it does allow you to get it to load in excel
