When our inventory is open, hovering over an item in the inventory shows its stats, the stats of our currently equipped item, the stats changes that will occur if these are swapped, and, in the case of two equipped items (rings), pressing the ALT key will show the stats, etc, for the the 2nd item.
However, when considering equipping a follower with a new item, there is no way (that I can figure out) to compare the inventory item with the follower's equipped similarly equipped item.
I cannot imagine that it would be difficult or expensive to program, say, the CTRL key to show the follower's item comparison instead of the players' item comparison when the follower's information is open. When the follower has two of an item, perhaps the SHIFT key to compare the follower's 2nd item with the inventory item.
...or have I missed something on how to do this kind of comparison?
Come on Krash, when playing a video game, I have other priorities than writing down 2, 3, 4, or 5 numbers for each of several different items I may want to compare and then doing basic math problems on all of those numbers.
I didn't say I couldn't figure it out. I said it is pain to have to do so. Especially since it should require very little in the way of programming to implement it. The comparison code has already been written and exists in the game.
After all, this is a computer game. Isn't the purpose of a computer to compute? ;)
