Hey all,

Just installed Diablo 3 on my new Retina Macbook Pro. It's running terribly at around 15fps (seems like it's stuck there) and below.

I'm all the way updated to 10.8.2.

I've tried a bunch of different resolutions and have the computer set to only use the Nvidia card.

Any ideas?

Thanks!

Fixed! SMC reset did it.

Close down your mac. Power that sucker down.

Then hit;

CTRL + OPTION + SHIFT + POWER BUTTON

at the same time!

Then hit power on it's own.

Hey All,

I have a max spec Macbook pro retina and can only get 15FPS now at 1920 res. I used to get 30 at minimum.

I tried SMC reset and still no dice.. :(

What happened here? Any resolutions? Game is unplayable unless i use awful res all the way down.

Same issue here. Maybe 15fps if I am lucky. Was running awesome before 10.8.2.

Have the two of you applied the EFI firmware update available for your rMBP?

You can locate it here:

Firmware Updates
MacBook Pro Retina EFI Update 1.0

http://support.apple.com/kb/DL1591

This update resolves an issue which can cause the system to hang during heavy processor loads, and resolves an issue where NetBoot does not function properly when using an Ethernet adapter.

Also, if you used Software Update, or the Delta updater to update to 10.8.2, you should definitely download and run the Combo updater found here:

http://support.apple.com/kb/DL1581

After applying the EFI update and/or Combo update for 10.8.2, you will need to reset your SMC. The following link details how to reset your SMC for the rMBP:

http://support.apple.com/kb/HT3964

Edit: Original credit for software update and EFI updat links go to Omegal / MysticalOS
