Ok so I'm pretty sure most everyone knows what's this ridiculous Loot server theory going around. Personally I think it's complete tinfoil hat bull!@#$, however I must admit there are times when playing that I find either lots of legends or none at all for a long time. There must be a reason for this, whether this loot is dependent on a server or home comp algorithm or something else entirely, I don't know. So I'm wanting to conduct a little test here. This is just to collect some data, and I don't need you to change anything or do anything differently.
WHAT I NEED:
Basically while you are farming, if/when you come across a legend drop, before leaving the game I would like for you to do the following:
1) Run CMD
2) In CMD, type what's in the outer quotation marks "netstat -n | find "1119""
3) While you're ingame you should find two IP's ending with that number. One with 193 before it, like 193.1119 and another IP with a random number before the 1119 (eg. xx.1119, xxx.1119).
4) Come here to this thread and post the following info
-The entire IP that holds the random number
-US, EU or SEA
-The level of legend that dropped (if you want to brag about it, that's fine to)
If you can get your friends to participate, I'd appreciate it, I'm wanting to collect a large sample size then present a result. So if there are any servers that give better loot or whether its actually random or if there is a type of exploit to be found, we will likely find it here. Personally I just want this done to prove that blizzard isn't stupid enough to make such an awful and ridiculous system.
IMPORTANT: The test must be conducted out by people who don't go looking for specific servers
