Diablo® III

True DPS of DT WW barb - Player Rankings

I'm going to propose to Lorenze that we need an SoJ category after seeing DAKKON's results. One might accuse me of being vain, but there's a few reasons for attributing SoJs to another category.

1) Monster Bonus system entails that the Magic Find effect will take hold on whites only. This means that there will be an emphasis on clearing EVERYTHING;
2) Monster DPS has the capacity to one-shot you and will likely not die in one pass, or even two passes. This means that if you do go directly to an elite, you will be fighting whites and elites that have the capacity to wipe;
3) I did the calculations for an SoJ on my end and got a rough estimate that I would be doing about 730k DPS vs elites, so that would put me barely ahead of DAKKON, which leads me to my next point;
4) SoJs are readily available; however, I do not believe the WW crits are calculated into DAKKON's DPS so I think he'd have more TDPS than shown.

1) The whole point is efficiency not going full retard on MP 10 and im under the impression many players will simply skip whites once their 100. im not sure why you think mp mf only affects whites it should affect all.
3) This is a very fair point and I will take it under advisement but it will depend if one chooses to go at their optimal MP (one in which they kill whites in a single pass) vs those who decide to go to the highest possible MP. However, I do think not players will use sojs solely to get on the tdps list but i could be wrong.
4) its relatively easy to calculate it, just give yourself that much more crit on sssdraw and use that value for ((O+M)/2 * .4833) calculation.

do you factor str on weapons when determining dps? just curious how my OH would stack up

Average damage shown on that site factors in EVERY factor including CC,CD,elemental damage, and str.

i think acrimony meant the item bonus effect.. it doesnt apply to elites, only whites

When a monster dies, the first thing we do is decide whether it's going to drop loot at all.

Most monsters -- like say your everyday shambling zombies -- have a roughly 30% chance to drop loot. The exact percentage, however, varies from monster to monster (for example, the Tormented Stingers in Act III have a much lower chance because they spawn in large packs and are easy to kill).

When you kill a monster in Inferno on MP1 or higher, if you pass the initial roll to obtain loot, you will also get a second roll to get an additional piece of loot. The "bonus item" chance for each MP level is detailed here. A few monsters are exempt from the bonus loot, but we tried to put it on the vast majority of normal monsters, and will probably add it to more if we like how the system plays out.

Also, just to be clear, the bonus drop applies to Normal monsters only. We wanted Monster Power to provide players with extra loot rolls, and (since Champions and Rares are already guaranteed to drop multiple items) Normal monsters seemed like the best place for us to add that mechanic in.

Check the patch notes. According to the new Monster Power bonus system, the Magic Find bonus will only affect whites (unless I'm misreading).

I did not realize that but that is certainly something to consider I will have to think on it. At the moment I would much prefer not to have 2 separate lists just to account for an item property.

No problem. Just wanted to lay out the facts and logic for your consideration. This is a terrific system to calculate the best DPS'ers in the Double Tornado :)

So it looks like the key to uber tdps is getting stupid fast OH or an EF. amirite?
Just because I know everyone laughs at Joch because he's a giant noob without a clue

1. [(0.7 * 138878) + .4833 * (138878)/2
2. (97,214 + 23491.90809) * T (4)
3. 120705.90809 * 4
4. 482823.63236

Joch's TDPS: 482824

So we got our lowest TDPS'er. What a noob.
Surely the simple means of deducing these values is to ask for exp/hour?

Considering ww and rltw both depends on ias, yes you need high ias to be a good dt ww barb.

Convincing proof the formula works. zero ias skorns builds vastly inflate dps while neutering your fury generation.

Be my guess :) its just a little more difficult to "prove". however, MW weapons will always come out on top if thats the metric.

New section on the hall for BES scores - essentially a modified heroscore that factors Tdps as well as EHP on a dimishing formula.

also, +7%CC on WW does is count?

You are misreading it. The MF bonus effects all monsters, however there is an additional "bonus item" that can drop from whites which is 100% at MP10 and scales down from there to the other MP levels.

I did some clearing last night on MP10 and most of the legendaries I got were off of white mobs. So skipping them, even when you are PL 100 probably isn't a good idea if you are doing MF runs.

There's a blue post on this in the PTR section of the boards somewhere.

yes, its factored in the o+m part of the calculation

your t = 7.085
TDPS = 701670

2.00000-2.22222 aps - 9 frames per tick - 6.67 ticks per second - 20 ticks
2.22223-2.49999 aps - 8 frames per tick - 7.50 ticks per second - 23 ticks
when you use EF, I got +.22 attack speed on your O/H too.

Please do not buff your ehp with a gem in your helm. + attacks is already factored into your ias.
attacks is already factored into your ias.
Well, first time use that calculator, kind confused. I have 4 different results. -_-!!

what about mines?
Because it was driving me up the walls, here's my calculation assuming I get a SoJ with 30% bonus (not factoring in Whirlwind):

SOJ
1. [(0.7 * 83,972) + .4833 * (83,972+56203)/2
2. (58780.4 + 33873.28875) * T (6.06)
3. 561478.929825

Normal TDPS: 561,478

Elite:
1. [(0.7 * 109,164) + .4833 * (109,164+73064 )/2
2. (76414.8 + 44035.3962) * T (6.06)
3. 729928.188972

Elite TDPS: 729,298

I double checked all the affixes by removing 8% attack speed, 4.5% critical hit chance, 9-18 damage modifier, and 88 strength.
