Diablo® III

1.0.5 Will NOT download.

I get stuck on initializing and it shows the download bar ready but it wont budge from 0.0%. I've looked at a bunch of other threads and tried to clear the cache reset the permissions and use disk utility to reset permissions but nothing has worked. I'm on a college campus not sure if that has to do with anything. Many thanks to any help.

After 10 min of initializing it says "connection failed please check internet connection"
Is this not happening to anyone else?

Yes. I was able to play on 1.0.4 using http://patchup.info/Blizz/tools/Mac/
I had previously downloaded the 1.0.4 patch back at home and the tool I downloaded enabled me to play on campus. But now it wont download 1.0.5. I deleted the new tool and had kept the old launcher as backup. I still get nothing.

Download the latest version of the SetupOSX file(1363/1881) from that link and the Diablo III.tfil file from this page:

IT WORKED!! All I needed was the Diablo III.tfil file. Just download, extract, and then drop in the DiabliIII folder and everything should be fine. Thanks for this awesome tool!

@ZimZum/Zobeck- Can y'all send me your Battle.net Tools folder logs so I can research why this is being blocked and send it to the appropriate team? This is something we're researching to try to see why this issue comes about.

Obtaining Battle.net Logs
    1. Navigate to /Users/Shared
    2. Right-click the Battle.net folder and select Copy Battle.net
    3. Right-click anywhere on the Desktop and select Paste item.
    4. Go into each sub folder (Agent, Agent.[build], Client, Blizzard Launcher.[build], Setup) in the new Battle.net folder on your desktop and delete the all following apps:
  • Any Agent.app (the application itself)
  • Any Blizzard Launcher.app (the application itself)
  • Error Reporter
  • Any World of Warcraft, Diablo III or StarCraft II Setup files
  • 5. Now right-click the Battle.net folder and select Compress "Battle.net"

Now you can email the compressed (zip) file to macsupport@blizzard.com. This way I have all your logs and can investigate further. Make sure you put the URL and thread title in the body so I can know what issue we're talking about.

The title of the email should be D3 - College Patching
