Patch 1.0.5 crashes after opening a chest

It doesn't crash until the loot is on the ground. This also happened in the Jar of Souls event, after I destroyed the Jar (I'm guessing it's just a fancy chest). Doesn't happen with every chest/container, seems quite random.

There's a slight freeze before the crash -- similar to freezes I'm observing while traversing areas I haven't been to in this patch. It's like the game is loading stuff off disk (an SSD btw, so this should be quite fast), and sometimes crashes while doing it.

I'm running a fully updated OSX 10.8.2. I'll gladly provide more info, if need be.

Edit: Just happened again, opened the grave in Matriarch's Bones event (Act 1).

When the game crashes, does it create an error report ID to send to Blizzard?

When it crashed, I got the "pizza of death" for 10-20 seconds; the last frame of the game was still visible, and I wasn't able to switch to windowed mode, switch out of the game etc.

I play the game on an external display, so I was able to kill it from the laptop screen. I tried locating the error report window using expose. There was none, so I'm assuming the report wasn't sent/genereated.

Here's what helped me though:
* removing /Users/Shared/Battle.net/Agent/agent.db
* removing /Applications/Diablo III/Data_D3/PC/MPQs/Cache/

The game launcher "initialized" for a bit, then I was able to play. As a bonus, the game runs less choppy, I have a more constant fps rate.
