Diablo III Patch 1.0.5a – v.1.0.5a.12811

Bug Fixes

Fixed a crash that could occur on a machine with eight or more core processors
Fixed some additional service crashes
Fixed a variety of truncated tooltips (applies only to Italian, Polish, and Russian clients)


I assume this is correct?

The server is still down?

still cant log in and the server status page says all servers are available. game says theres a new patch available and the game will continue after the patch is downloaded..problem is the launcher cant find any new patches.ideas anyone?

What client are you using?

Go to C:\Games\Diablo III\Data_D3\PC\MPQs\enUS (or where ever you installed the client) the last folder is the client name. Mine is enUS, I also tested it with enSG and it is working. What is yours?

The enGB client is based off the EU servers which have not had downtime for the patch yet.

You can either wait until they do, reinstall but install the enUS or enSG client or modify your agent file.

1. Open the file C:\ProgramData\Battle.net\Agent\agent.db (in wordpad)
2. Change all references of http://enGB.patch.battle.net:1119/patch to http://enUS.patch.battle.net:1119/patch (save and close)
3. Run game client

Thanks for that Narull. I also have the same problem with enGB - rather annoying oversight on the part of whoever did the digital download version for New Zealand in my opinion. I'll have to look into reinstalling enUS one day, not sure if monthly data cap will let me this month.

I'm having the same problems here, new patch available over and over. i still dunno what i'm doing wrong.. i tryed your advise but nothing works.

I often have issues come patch times not being detected. I'm on Windows Vista and the fix that works for me is create/login to another Windows user account and then login to D3 from that account.

The other account detects the patch and I can login. Once that's installed then I switch back to my normal Windows account and everything works fine.

Hi Narull

I'm having the same issue, - I tried your fix of altering the .db file but I still get booted back to the unhelpful "game is uptodate" screen.

I'm using a bought from a shop copy which defaults to Europe (enEU?) but I play on US of course.

I had to alter the .db file to last time to patch 105 and it worked that time...

So a couple of questions... when will Europe be up to date? and why does the .db file rejig itself back to Europe settings?

I also find it frustrating that I get no warning of the downtime on US servers, yet next day there's all this warning on my start up screen about Europe's downtime... Is it possible to permanently change my settings to US servers?

Yeah its strange, The game defaults to Region:Europe but it still signs in (usually) to US if that is what is selected in the options. It still says Region:Europe though.

Ok, nevermind. It seems the magical complaining and now it works fairies are at work.

So, I guess the best method to solve all my problems is to download the US client? It might be worth it to avoid frustration I guess ;)

Im not sure if it was the fairies and a coincidence, but i found an entry in my agent.db that had somehow become just us.battle.net instead of enUS.battle.net.

I changed it and it works but could just be coincidence, also hopefully i didnt just bugger it up by doing that.

I'm trying to find out when the EU maint is fo r 1.0.5a, but in the meantime the only fixes are to change your agent file or to download the enUS client.

If you get the enUS client then it will be fixed forever and you will receive the right maint notices etc on the login screen, if you are using any other version then that can be wrong =/

Sorry guys, hopefully I can get a reply from Blizzard soon.
