At the bottom of your D3Prefs.txt in Users\yourname\Documents\Diablo III
add the following.

MonsterPower "1"

Meh...well it looked like it was working for a little bit until I changed my resolution.
Still a bit weird that the setting isn't present in D3Prefs.

It also occurs when you accidentally click the button to browse public games.

Still happening. Wish it were resolved, Very irritating. Please just diasble that option in the menu and have monster power automaticaly enabled untill this is fixed, thanks.

Yeah, to be honest, I don't understand why it's even an "option"... if you don't want to use Monster Power, play at MP0... :p

Seems kind of redundant to have to turn the feature on. Especially when it's acting all weird and glitchy like it is now.

And yes, that means I'm experiencing the same issue.
