Mac Pro 8+core crash [WORKAROUND]

I have a 12 core macpro. Since the patch, I've been crashing within the first few seconds of gameplay. However, it seems to run fine with multi-threading disabled.

Easy way to disable multi-threading:

Install Xcode (free apple devtools pack) from the app store.

From the Xcode menu select Open Developer Tool and launch Instruments.

Open the Preferences panel. Under the General tab uncheck Hardware Multi-Threading.

This seems to do it, for me at least.

Hi. It worked. Also one thing to add upon is that you need to have less than 8 cores activated with the slider.

Turning it down to 7 worked for me.

Yup, this is a known issue we're looking into, this for posting a nice workaround. If you're going to use this, please be careful, and make sure you know what you're doing.

I'll try to post back when this is updated, so that y'all can turn the cores back on.

You don't need no Xcode installed.

sudo nvram boot-args="cpus=7" will do the trick
