It's important to pay close attention to that.
Your cote counts....

In a state that isn't already pre-determined.

Get out and vote in those 6 states.
I walked into the voting booth, took a piss and walked out.
It took a full hour to vote...there was a long line at my polling place.

Vote or hold your peace when bad things happen in your country.

Wrong. I should be forced to vote for people I'm not interested in voting for? You know who should hold their peace? The people who voted for the winning person, if that person, in turn, does a crappy job. THEY should hold their peace.

Voted for Gary Johnson

Well, that was a waste. I'm glad you voted, but unfortunately, there are only 2 people who realistically have a shot at winning because of the current system and your vote won't help decide.

Anyway, I just got home from voting :)

It's this type of thinking that will keep our broken two-party system thriving and flourishing. Congratulations.

Vote Gary Johnson and Live Free.
I voted Johnson as well.

+1

People are always saying things like "You're single vote wont make a difference". If everyone who said that voted for the person who they thought was right, it could potentially change our government for the better.

Unfortunately, these same people are also afraid of what that change might be, and therefore vote under the two-party system so they are secure in knowing whats coming for the next 4 years, which to be blunt isnt looking good for our current choices.
This race is a dead heat though, Obama will probably win regardless though.

Agreed. Our voices will truly be heard when we break the 2 party system. Voted Gary Johnson as well. I know he won't win, but all he needs is 5% and the libertarian party will get federal funding next election. Wasted vote? I think not...

I just voted 20 minutes ago and heard some lady say AT the voting station, "Well I still don't know who I'm voting for."

If everyone was well-informed, well-read, and abreast with current affairs as well as political issues, thus making truly informed voting decisions, we wouldn't need campaigning.

No, then we wouldn't 'need' the electoral college.

While I personally agree that it's great to exercise your right to vote (I did so this morning, too), the Diablo III forums aren't really the best venue for political discussions.
