Update:

Solution to Qualcomm Killer Network Manager not allowing Diablo III to run on MSI GT60 - don't use MSI's driver for the network manager, instead go to http://www.killergaming.com/support/Downloads?category=3&model=123&download_type=1&os=16 and download the updated driver and the killer cleaner. After cleaning / installing, Diablo III should run fine.
