Diablo® III

Using BetterTouchTool App okay?

For those unfamiliar, BTT is a very standard mac app that allows you to customise your apple magic mouse (add a "middle" click, bind swiping fingers in a direction to equal a skill hotkey or potion button, etc). TECHNICALLY speaking, this is not an apple app or blizz obviously and is third party, but this app is SO standard on macs, will we really get banned for it?

Based on how input works on OS X, I doubt it is even detectable. Either way it isn't what they are referring to as a macros or hotkey exploitation tools.

Yes, it should be just fine. You are still performing a single in-game action per physical action, so you are safe with this. Such apps only become a violation of the ToS when used to automate gameplay, which is defined by performing more than one action in-game with a single physical button press or click, or to perform actions repetitively without input.

Hi.

BTT works on Diablo 3....but Magic Mouse is a very bad mouse for playing (you can't right click if you're left clicking. it doesn't seem important but, when you play, it really is)

perhaps replacing right click par a right "touch", it would be better, but gesture recognition is not as fast as a key pressing. The time you spend to do a gesture to drink a potion, you'll probably be already dead.

If it doesn't do automation like macros and bots do, then it should be fine. This seems to be an configuration app for the magic mouse, similar to that of MagicPrefs for the magic trackpad/Magic mouse.
