I laughed out loud when I first saw Chupa Khazra in Act I and I think it is still one of my favorite monster names (along with the R.O.U.S the original post mentions).

I am still infested by the mystery of "Black Rock Ledger". Please blue, let us know if it is just a legend!

I killed a guy once called Data Miner, the description was something like "bringer of spoils". I liked.

Most of the references you guys are talking about, I never got.

I thought "Development Hell" in the A1 cemetary was amusing.. Trouble is most of the time I don't have *time* to mouse over the monsters to read the text, I'm busy killing them and not dying.

Is this a reference to good ol' Blizzard North?
( Schaefers Brothers which are now in Runic )

"Development Hell" ( A1) was fun to clear out, but then, I thought: hopefully there are still more developers at Blizz so we don't need to wait (another) 10 years for the expansion (I want my all resist small chaaaarm !!!)

The famous monsters in Whimsyshyre: Midnight Sparkle and Nightmarity (Rarity).
Also I saw another unicorn with purple name there, forgot the name, but the inscription was like "somewhere over the rainbow". Though it could refer to something else.

That one Im still working to find the pages for. But that completely revolves around the show
"Lost". The page numbers are also from the show (6 total), as is the ship the Black Rock.

Pointing out things that were fun is the closest d3 gets to being fun. ;)

I LOVED the Dune references.

--- In act 2, a worm mini-boss called Shaitan. It's cool, because in the books it was originally Shai-Hulud, but after God-Emperor Leto II he got renamed to Shaitan.
--- An elite named Feyd Rautha.
--- "The Great Maker" worm encounter.
--- Stilgars corpse.

Dune is awesome, free cookie for Blizz for reading good books.

Don't forget the Hammer Jammers...

"These large pants cannot be touched."

Also in ACT 2: Black Rock --> If you have collected them orf course, check the page numbers ;) You might win the lottery :P

And Life of Riley reference of course: Digby "Digger" O'Dell (John Brown), "the friendly undertaker". He must be shoveling off these days :P

Tasker and Theo gloves are a reference to a fallen soldier and his dog companion.

The most surprising for me was getting into the Foul Lair, see a bunch of chickens and kill a greasy pig!

Halls of Agony 1 or 2, rare hulk called -Something- Vomitburst. Can't remember its first name.

Chupa Khazra ===> Chupa Cabra

At least in portuguese, Goat is "Cabra". Khazra's are goat's, so...

And sure, the name is a EPIC joke about the tales of "Chupa Cabra'" in the Latin America.

each one of my lvl 60 + characters (5 in total) wears tasker and theo gloves - and i'm never changing them.

Lamentation belt (http://us.battle.net/d3/en/item/lamentation) is a Conan the barbarian reference.
