Thorns

So I have found posts with people talking about using thorns on this forum but no one has explicitly answered the following question:
Followers have reduced damage even with the attribute bonuses they get, but does this damage reduction include damage dealt from thorns? I am using a Templar with my HC WD. Thanks! |

thorn damage is dealt as is since it is not boosted by main attributes
so stacking 5k thorns will actually do 5k each time he his hit by a melee attack,, but the templar actually need to survive to make this combo work.. and strenght res vita rings and ammy with enough thorns dont come cheap |
